"Wow! We earned so much in an hour!" Yoshinon exclaimed. Shido had reverted back to his original child form and they had flown over the entire city, looking for a spot to settle down. Near a beach, he found an empty house that looked like it had been abandoned. Using Haniel, he transformed the old, broken and dusty house into something that seemed to come out of a fairy tale. He made a candy house. An actual house made of actual candies which can be eaten.
The floor was made up of chocolate, giving off a wooden feeling when stepped on. The walls were made of gingerbread, with some crumbs scattered along the ground. The windows were made of translucent soft candy, providing a clear view outside and at the same time, not easy to break or destroy. The doors were made of caramel, and can be melted easily under direct sunlight, which means Shido could have free caramel every afternoon. Looking around at his masterpiece, he gave a satisfied nod before Yoshinon interrupted. "Shido, where are the apples?"
"Don't worry, I made a room out of apple for you, so you can eat as much as you want." Shido assured him before he could continue rambling on about apples.
"Yay! Thanks Shido!" Yoshinon cheered when he heard that, and quickly hopped to his room. Seeing him being so happy, Shido smiled as well as he followed him. They were, after all, sharing the same room.
"Hey Yoshinon, how much did we earn today?" Shido asked curiously. He didn't know how much he 'earned' during that hour, but he knew that even if he didn't earn much, he would still do it again as it was fun and entertaining.
Counting the money which was overflowing in the box together, they realised they had earned more than 25,000 yen, allowing them to live comfortably for about a week if they don't spend excessively.
[A/N idk how long 25,000 yen can last you in Japan, so I'm just gonna assume 25,000 yen can last you about a week if you count the water, food and other necessities along with the some savings]
"Yay! We have enough money to buy more apples now!" Yoshinon said happily. Shido saw this and was speechless,"Isn't the entire room made of apples already? Why do we still need to buy more apples from the supermarkets?"
Yoshinon didn't back down and retorted back,"You can also transform anything into anything you desire. Why do you still want to earn money?"
Shido was stunned, and couldn't reply to Yoshinon,"I...I.." Yoshinon donned a smug smile on his face as he put down the money and continued to look around the room, taking a bite every now and then, resulting in the room having bite marks.
"Sigh..." Shido didn't know what to do with his friend, but he knew that even if the world was against Yoshinon, he would without any hesitation stand beside him and face the world together. That's how precious Yoshinon is to Shido. Even if he's greedy, playful, or hyper, Shido would always support his dearest puppet.
And for the next few weeks, they travelled around Japan and performed whenever they felt like doing so. They went to Osaka for a few days and ate some delicious ramen before performing in front of their stall, resulting in the owner thanking them profusely for tripling their profit for that day. They went to Hokkaido and went inside a famous hot spring. They relaxed for an entire day in there before the owner kicked them out for almost fainting in there. Since they loved the hot spring so much, they decided to perform in front of the hot spring. They also went to Musutafu, where the most famous hero high school was located and performed there. He tried entering the campus without his mosaic but it seemed as though there was a barrier which alerted the school. In the end, he only played for a few minutes before escaping from the teachers and principle could catch him for disrupting the on-going class.
Whenever Shido and Yoshinon performed, they would always remain anonymous, mosaicing their faces. It was one of their abilities, allowing them to literally become a mosaic, letting any attacks phase though them. In return though, they can't touch anything as well. When they played the piano and sang, they only mosaiced their bodies, legs and above their mouth, leaving his hands and mouth free to sing and play the piano. This resulted in the audience not knowing their true identities, allowing them to have more freedom. (Search for date a live phantom)
After the incident at UA academy, they became famous. They were famous for their beautiful and wonderful music. Anyone who had heard them before couldn't go back to enjoying normal music anymore. The difference was just too large. No one knew anything about them. The underworld tried investigating them, but they were all killed off mysteriously when they tried stalking them. The heroes could not find any information about them, it seemed to them that Shido and his puppet had just popped out of nowhere. No one knew what his quirk was. He could mosaic himself, summon a piano, organ pipes, a puppet and a broom. This made him dangerous in the eyes of both heroes and villains. But no one could deny the beauty of his music. Even if they can't catch him alone, they could still listen to his music.
While everyone was thinking about Shido and his antics, the perpetrator himself was relaxing at home. After living in the candy house for a while, he realised that it wasn't very practical. The door melted too easily, insects and pests were often seen, and all the children nearby wanted to eat his house (even he himself wanted to eat it). He was thinking of changing a house, but he was too lazy.
"Yoshinon, what should we do now?" Shido was currently lying down on his bed, while staring blankly at the ceiling.
"Well, we could eat more apples." Yoshinon suggested.
Ignoring his 'suggestion', Shido continued lying down and thought to himself. 'Hmmm, what can I do now? I've been performing ever since I woke up, but I've not collected any information about this place yet.'
"Yes! I've got it!" Shido suddenly sat up straight, ignoring Yoshinon's cry of protest from knocking him off his seat on Shido's stomach.
