Escape at midnight

"Dazzle was walking in a dense forest. She was smiling and looked at someone. It was Lisa. Lisa and Dazzle were talking peacefully and happily. They were gleeful.

Suddenly, they heard a metal clanging. Dazzle looked around to find the origin of the noise. Dazzle moved a few feet away from Lisa as she heard the noise nearby, to check on it.

Within a spilt of seconds, a sudden whoosh of wind was heard. Dazzle looked back at the place where Lisa was standing. She was shocked to see Lisa's head and body separated. Blood flowed everywhere."

Dazzle woke up with sweat dripping from her forehead. She looked around startled. Olivia, Oliver and James were looking at her with concern. They woke up because of her whimpers and screams.

Dazzle looked around in search of Lisa. She wanted to make sure that Lisa was fine. Dazzle said in a worried tone, "I can't lose her."

Lisa is the most important person in Dazzle's life. Losing her is like losing a part of Dazzle.

Dazzle walked here and there and was so worked up. Oliver gave her a cup of water and calmed her down. Dazzle explained to them about her dream which was truly a nightmare. Tears flowed down her red cheeks constantly.

Everyone didn't know what to say or how to comfort her because they know that they can never leave the asylum. But Benjamin said with a cold tone, "We will help you get out." His voice was cold but confident.

Dazzle looked at Benjamin in surprise. Benjamin said, "You can't escape through the front gate but there is a small storeroom inside the laboratory here.

If we unlock it and get in, there is a giant window and it is made up of glass. If we break it, we can get out."

Dazzle was happy and thanked Benjamin. Dazzle was about to head out of the room but Oliver said, "I am coming with you too."

Benjamin nodded and said, "Me too. I am not running away. But I am going to help you." Dazzle asked looking at Benjamin, "Why?"

Benjamin said, "I don't like debts but I felt like I owe you a debt because of that night."

Dazzle smiled and looked at Olivia. Olivia was sad because her first friend is going to leave but happy that Dazzle is going to be free.

Dazzle hugged Olivia and said, "You are one of the reasons why I don't hate humankind yet." Olivia gave her a warm smile.

Dazzle waved to James who didn't know what was happening and started to walk towards her freedoms.

Dazzle, Benjamin and Oliver were sneaking away slowly and with a lot of caution. Benjamin said, "The place near laboratory has a lot of doctor movements. Be careful." in a low tone.

Dazzle nodded. They tiptoed and walked without making any noise. As they got near the laboratory, there was a presence of many doctors.

All three of them got on their knees and crawled toward the door. Suddenly, a doctor opened the door. Dazzle held in her uneven breath. Oliver was sweating so much.

Benjamin gulped but luckily the doctor didn't look at them. Dazzle sighed and hung her head low, trying to breathe properly.

Oliver said scared, "Holy Cows". Dazzle patted Benjamin and Oliver saying, "You can leave now. I don't want you to get into trouble."

Benjamin said casually, "I don't mind getting in trouble. I have no one out there. I hate this place and know how to escape but I can't because the world outside is crueller.

They killed every of my family and friends but I was the one who got accused. I don't want to go there anymore. I am done. At least, you have a reason. Go ahead."

Dazzle realised why Benjamin was called a psychopath. It was because he took the blame of killing his family. Dazzle sighed and nodded. She felt sad for Benjamin. How could he feel when people call him a killer who killed his family?

Dazzle slowly opened the laboratory room and entered it still looking around. Oliver and Benjamin followed her. Dazzle took a metal pipe from nearby to break the window.

Dazzle saw the storeroom, which was merging with the white wall. Dazzle pushed the door, it didn't open. Dazzle and others tried a few more times and failed sadly.

Everyone's face clearly showed disappointment. Dazzle said in a low voice, "I think I must threaten a doctor for this."

Oliver added, "It is not easy at all. All doctors here are well prepared for situations like threatening inside the hospital. What are we going to do?"

Dazzle sighed sadly, holding in her tears. Suddenly, the laboratory door flung opened. Dazzle, Benjamin and Oliver hid under a table and looked at a doctor.

The doctor opened the storeroom door and said, "Please unlock the window with this key and close it. I turned off all the security cameras too."

Dazzle was surprised just like others.

A few hours ago,

KL was walking in a street when he saw a man and his daughter. KL was bored so he bought a magazine and sat down at a bench near the man's small daughter and read it.

The man left to the icecream shop to buy them icecream. At that time, the naughty small girl almost fell inside a big pond and drowned herself. She screamed for help.

Her father ran towards his daughter to save her. The small girl fell inside the water and may die anytime. KL who saw this jumped inside the pond and saved the small girl.

The man was so grateful. The man asked to KL, "Ask me, anything kid, I am going to buy it for you."

KL who knew it was a doctor working in asylum said, "Release Dazzle." in a naive tone.The doctor denied shocked and angrily and walked away.

KL smirked and recited,

"Name: Stella

Age: 6

School: Wisdom public school

Likes to play with water and icecream.

School starts at 9 am

School ends at 2 pm

Wife name...."

The doctor ran towards KL and asked, "Who are you?" The doctor was shocked to hear his daughters detail from KL.

KL took his gun and said, "I am me." The doctor freaked out looking at the gun and said, "I will do it. Please spare us."

KL smirked and walked away. Just as he walked away, the small girl told her father, "Dad, why are you thanking him? He was the one who pushed me in."

The doctor was shocked. He got into a mess. He could have been quiet or asked his daughter about the whole scene first.

Present time,

The doctor said Dazzle that her friend is threatening him to death so he was helping her. Dazzle was smiling and said to the doctor, "Never mess with us." with a smug smile.

Dazzle took the key from the doctor and unlocked the window and peacefully got out of the asylum. Dazzle waved at Oliver and Benjamin a sweet goodbye. Oliver smiled while Benjamin was just standing there.

Dazzle ran away for some distance and then started walking slowly. She stopped and inhaled some fresh air. Dazzle then started to walk fast to see Lisa. She was dying to see her.

She was so impatient. But Dazzle stopped when she heard a familiar voice calling for her. Dazzle turned around slowly to see Noah, KL, David and Lisa waving at her.

Dazzle ran fastly towards them and jumped at Lisa. Lisa lost her balance and fell with Dazzle above her in the mud ground.

Dazzle hugged Lisa and said, "You are fine." Lisa replied, "Idiot. You are supposed to ask me if I am fine and then I reply that I am fine."

Dazzle laughed and Lisa noticed Dazzle's eyes tearing up. Before Lisa would ask anything to Dazzle, Dazzle hugged Noah and KL.

Dazzle asked to KL, "Did you threaten the doctor?" KL nodded and smirked. Dazzle hugged KL one more time and whispered, "You are totally cool."

Dazzle looked at David who had a blank expression. Dazzle thought, "What the heck? I missed him so much but he is not even happy or concerned."

Dazzle smiled at David awkwardly not wanting to show him that she misses him or wants to hug him too. David smirked at Dazzle's expression.

Dazzle got inside Noah's car and sat on the back seat with David. David whispered to Dazzle in a sad tone, "What the heck? I missed him so much but he is not even happy or concerned."

Dazzle's eye widened and her mouth gasped in extreme shock. David laughed a little bit and showed Dazzle her mind-reading stone.

Dazzle angrily snatched it away from him and looked away embarrassed and mad.

David chuckled and leaned on Dazzle's shoulder and asked, "Want me to show you how much I miss you?"

Dazzle was silent. David looked around and saw Lisa and Noah asleep. KL was focused on driving.

David suddenly grabbed Dazzle's neck and made her look at him. Dazzle hissed in pain and whisper shouted, "What are you doing?"

David smiled and looked at Dazzle's lips. Dazzle noticed it and started to shiver a bit because of how close they both were.

David, without any warning, connected his plum lips on Dazzle's soft ones. Dazzle pushed him with all her force but it was not easy.

Dazzle tried her best to stop him. When KL noticed Dazzle whimpering, he stopped the car. David started to harshly bite her lips.

Dazzle could feel her lips burning.

Dazzle's started to tear up a bit because she felt so weak and powerless.

KL shouted at David angrily and Dazzle finally managed to push him away. David was smirking while Dazzle was so angry. Dazzle started to yell and cry at the same time.

KL was mad and started to throw his shoes at David.

Dazzle looked at the pendant sadly, which didn't shine green because of jealousy like it used too.

She sighed. "It was all a lie when it was green with jealousy. Liam was never even there." She thought angrily.
