Bloodlines

There was a slight pain when the high-power light scanned him from top to bottom. Zane stood in the transparent pod watching his family's concerned expression. Well, his father's concerned expression, Jasper was sitting cross-legged on a chair, playing with a medical apparatus that he found on the table.

He disassembled it in seconds and was taking his time to rebuild. Feeling Zane's gaze on him, he looked at Zane, then smirked and returned to the device in his hand.

Zane stood there for three minutes as the three doctors, Doctor Patel, Doctor Kim, and the female doctor, who he learned was Doctor Green, surrounded a holographic screen next to the machine.

Zane could read the surprise and amazement in their eyes and his heart thumped loudly in his chest.

"System. My Class mask is still activated, right?"

"Yes. All your Mana points would be read as Health points and vice versa. All machines would read your class as Sniper."
