Chapter 1The Basics

[WARNING]The following contains death viewer discretion is advised you have been warned.

"Magic is an unpredictable tool that can be used for good or evil. Of course no magic is considered good nor evil, but rather neutral. However the user itself is the one that is judged on what they do. In this world there is never a happy ending, at least for me."

Nothing can be touched, heard, seen, smelled

Or tasted. Like sleeping, there was nothing

No sun to pierce the sky and awake me

Out of this dream, no, dreams aren't like this

Dark, yet Darker, even Darker

The light filled everything. The heat was

Beyond scorching, yet even so, I still

Stood, the forever nothingness has

Collapsed and now there is a light and

Next to it was the seeping Darkness.

The mouse treks through the snow finding it way back to its burrow with its food so that it may survive long enough to feed its offspring. The mouse has found its way to the burrow ready to complete his task a hungry owl was about to complete his.

"Yo you wanna go hang out at the skate park." I knew he was gonna ask that sooner or later but now I can't refuse. This is Jack we've been friends for a while now, since 2nd grade actually. He was scrawny for a long time but is not somewhat athletic. We get along well, he sucks at skateboarding, but so do I so it's all well, otherwise I wouldn't skate around him. He was a quiet kid, but when he talked with friends he easily could give even me a run for my money.

"Sure what time, I can't go from 9-5cause of work. Can't Saturday cause I've got things to do."

Only leaves Sunday, and Monday through Friday is out of the question since I'm going on vacation.

"Now!" He said that rather eagerly perhaps my imagination.

"Alright, I'll grab my board and we can head off." I was prepared for that but didn't expect him to be so optimistic about it. Is this a prank? Well, doesn't matter now it's only 17 minutes away and the sun is still up (late August). It's close to the woods we live near. A lot of people go missing there so going there without someone else is a no go, a shiver goes does my spine.

"Hey, the park is the other way where we going?" Now that I think about it we've been riding for half an hour now.

"A detour." After that his talking slowed down a bit clearly either I'm too tired or something is up. "It's quicker this way, plus I found something that I want to show you."

"Alright?" After about 10 more minutes of riding I decide that it was actually slower. Wait if it usually takes around 17 then- never mind I guess that is now just time I'll never get back. We arrive at a dark cave barely illuminated holes through the holes. "You sure about this I don't really want to go deeper? I've seen enough."

"Oh cmon we just got here plus this isn't the best part." After some internal conflict I decide why not. So I follow him in despite the ominous feeling of this cave.

"Hey, you still there?"

"Yeah just looking at this weird looking rock." I wonder why his voice was very, how do I describe, light? I turned around and saw nothing, I swear he was there just then, wtf?, "Jack!" No response. I'm sure he's alright, yeah nothing going on here just let me leave. As I turned around the scene shocked me. "JACK!" On the ground on a level below was my friend's cold body pooling out was blood. "Wh- what happened, who did this, are they st-" my words cut off as I see red.

Then white.

Then Black.

It's getting even darker.

[Author here this is my first fantasy should be horror novel more coming soon don't miss what happens next. And I know there is no magic but that will change soon.]

Level 1 to Infinity: My Bloodline Is the Ultimate Cheat!

They shattered his life. Now, he’ll break the world. Ethan had it all, until his best friend and the woman he loved betrayed him, leaving him crippled and forgotten. Three years of suffering later, he clawed his way to one final, desperate act… and the universe answered. A hidden quest. A second chance. A return to the moment everything began. Now, Ethan is back, on the eve of Ethereal’s launch, the world’s first fully immersive VR game and the battlefield where legends are forged. Last time, he played fair. This time? He’s armed with years of knowledge: every exploit, every secret quest, every broken mechanic that will let him climb straight to the top. But when he logs in, something is off. The system forces him into an unwanted class—Druid, the game’s biggest joke. The kind of class people pick as a dare and regret immediately. Yet as Ethan digs deeper, the truth shakes him. [Congratulations! You have unlocked the Divine Bloodline: King of Elves!] Ethan stared at the screen, unblinking. “…The hell?” The Druid class was a jack-of-all-trades, master of none—a scattered mess of abilities that mimicked other classes but never truly excelled. Their bear form lacked the raw defense of a proper tank. Their panther form was weaker than a rogue. Their healing fell short of a priest, and their magic couldn’t compare to a mage’s devastating spells. Most players abandoned the class early, realizing they could never compete at the highest level. And yet, Ethan’s stats are off the charts. His talents are absurd. His potential is beyond anything he’s ever seen. The system has given him something no other Druid ever had—a divine bloodline, legendary abilities, and a growth rate that defies logic. If Druids were meant to be weak, then Ethan was the exception that would rewrite history. He’s not just here to reclaim his throne. He’s here to take everything. Factions will rise. Empires will fall. The strongest will thrive, and the weak will perish. And the ones who betrayed him? They won’t live to do it again.
