Considering the reason he becomes assassin in the first place, I can still comprehend him saving the kids and taking them somewhere safer, but I don't get all the unmerited handouts. They are not even friends, and the boy seems to take his grace for granted.

If she wanted a leader figure wouldn’t a general or a president have been better? An assassin that’s killed people for a living is now picking up children he meets and is giving them his valuables. I’m not hoping for him to be inhuman but he certainly doesn’t have to be like this, right?!

I’ll try reading a little more since I liked that last sentence, but plot holes are making me nervous. At least explain his thought process more.

Are they both five year boys? They Shouldn’t have So much inyellignce at that age. Starting age should be 12-15 years. that will make more sense

Saving them is good. I wont mind. Going with them? Okay if you want to go out of the forest. Giving away his loot? hell no. and showing his face after saving the kids? Why show your face?
