Crazy In Love

Maya's POV

I want to turn around and leave, but watching Adonis's black eyes and swollen lips made me feel so guilty. I know he has been a jerk all these years, but I can't go when I saw the pleading in his eyes. He still looks so handsome even though my brother almost broke his lovely face.

"Maya, I am just asking you three minutes of your valuable time." He said, and I put l my hands on my hips and looked at him in the eyes, and I hate myself for staring at his luscious lips. 

"Okay, make it brief, Adonis, since I can't stand to be in the same space with you." I said, and I can see the pain that registered on his face. I don't need Adonis's lies and schemes, and my heart tells me to lower my resolve and be the same Maya again. But I don't want to be a third party in their relationship besides he is getting married.
