Chapter 3: Lucas Meets Ruby Rose

As I finally got of the mountain, I started to go through the town and I sensed that I was getting some shifty looks from every corner I turned, I then look at a store that sold food and it was 24-7, it was my lucky night to buy something, as I entered the buliding the shop owner greeted then looked at me and started sweet.

Shopowner: Please don't hurt me

Lucas: What no!

Shopowner: Your not here to rob me?

Lucas: Hell nah nigga, I just came to buy some food and a drink

Shopowner: Oh

Lucas: Yeah oh.... *sigh* so where's the soft drinks

The old man points to the back of the store and when he looked back at me I gave him a tip and said.

Lucas: Thanks man, here's a tip

As I walked to the back the old man looked at me and smiled, he then went back to his business at the front desk.

When I got to the back there was so many drinks to choose from at this point as I went to grab a drink my hand touch a smaller hand as I looked over to my right I saw a girl wearing a red hood and had black hair with red headlight on the side, I then let go of the drink and said.

Lucas: Hahaha sorry about that

???: Oh no, no, no that was my fault I had my headphones on

Lucas: No it's fine it's my fault

???: No It's my fault

Lucas: Okay, okay *sigh* so watcha name?

Ruby: Ruby... Ruby Rose

Lucas: I'm Lucas Brown nice to meet you

Ruby: So why are you wearing a helmet?

Lucas: Oh this?... this is my combat suit

Ruby: What kind of combat suit is it?

Lucas: I think I'll tell you later?

Ruby: No fair.... soooo you want to be friends?

Lucas: I wouldn't normally make friends with people I've only met but for you I'll make exception for you Ruby

Ruby: Hehe thanks... so where are you from?

Lucas: Wel-

As I'm about to tell her about where I'm from, some calls us from behind.

Thug: Put yours hands up!

Lucas: Excuse me!?

Thug: You heard me!

Ruby: Are you trying to rob us?

Thug: Yes!

Lucas & Ruby: Ah huh?

While some of the thugs where collecting these things called dust? Me & Ruby were attacking one in the back and kicked his ass, Ruby kicked him to the ground while I lifted him and chucked I'm across the store.

Thug: Ahhhhh!

Roman: What the hell.... go check it out

Two of the thugs went to the back but we're grabbed me, one of the thugs I start to smash him in the ground while Ruby tackled him but they went through the front window, everyone started to look out the window to see Ruby with Scythe out and when I looked, I thought to myself.

Lucas: *thinking* Fucking hell she looks like the grim reaper with that Scythe

As Roman told this thugs to go deal with Ruby while he went to go grab the rest of the dust but luckily I was there and I was in his way.

Lucas: Where do you think your going?

Roman: Oh another child but wearing a suit

Lucas: Excuse me

Roman: I said Chi-

I then grab Roman by the leg and smash him into the ground creating two giant holes one of them had Roman. I looked down at him as he staired me down he then smirk and I looked back to Ruby who had beaten up all of the thugs on the street, but out of the shadows a muscular thug with tattoos all over him came rushing at Ruby, she was unaware she was in danger, I then rush out of the store like the flash to her save her, but just in the nick of time I stop him from punching her from behind held him back, she looked back at me was terrified, I looked at her and said.

Lucas: Ruby move!

Ruby then moved out the way as I grabbed my pistol from the side of my hip and aim at his head then pulled the trigger... his brians went all over the place, I looked at Ruby and she well just looked and there was no reaction to what I did until she spoke.

Ruby: Is he dead?

Lucas: Yeah sorry.... *looking at the ground*

Ruby: Its alright... it was just self defense right?

Lucas: Yeah it was

Roman: Aww look at how touching this is it might just make me cry

Me & Ruby looked back and Roman who was mocking us.

Roman: So you two going to catch me?

Lucas: Yeah!

I then rushed him, but I was then blasted by a rocket out of his cane at me and hit my shields, I then fall to the ground for a second, Ruby came over to see I was okay and I was but I looked up to see Roman escaping and there was no way in hell I was letting that happen. I start to run for the ladder, while Ruby followed me, once we got onto the roof Roman was in some kind of aircraft I've never seen.

Roman: Well little red & this mysterious metal man, it's been fun but I have other places to be then here

Ruby: Oh yeah and what would that be?

Roman: More important then you two combined

Roman aims his cane at us again and shots another rocket at us, I went to cover Ruby when suddenly the blast didn't hit us something or someone blocked the attack, when we look back and the smoke was clearing, we saw a woman with blonde hair wearing glasses and had some kind of stick. She looked back at us both and sighed with a little bit of frustration.

???: You know you two should be more carefull

Lucas & Ruby: Who are you?

Goodwitch: I am Mrs. Goodwitch, now would you two please kindly let me handl-

She was then Interupted by an explosion coming from the weird airship.

Goodwhich: Okay I think I've had enough of this

Goodwhich starts use some kind of magic or something and it blasted some kind of lasers or something at it and damaged it pretty well and as you I was problebly not going to let her have fall the fun. I then grab my assault rifle from the back of my suit and started to lay down some fire onto the ship, there were bullet holes everywhere from my shots, as my clip was running low I start to reload the gun, until I see someone in the dark on the airship with yellow glowing eyes, at this time I had finished reloading my weapon and aim at the mysterious person with yellow eyes until her hands started to glow and that got my attention and I said to Ruby & Goodwitch.

Lucas: Ahhh I don't think this going to be good

Goodwitch saw them and start to power up again, this time using some kind ice attack and the mysterious person retaliated with throwing volcanic acid at her and then what!?, she deflected the attack then got into battle mode or but I butted in and shot my rocket launcher out of nowhere, the aircraft pulled away and as Roman drove it he flipped us off and that made me pissed. Goodwitch looks at us with anger and I knew where this was leading but Ruby on the other hand.

Ruby: Oh god can have your autograph!

*timeskip*

We were in darkroom and had Goodwitch yell at us.

Goodwitch: Ruby Rose!

Lucas: *thinking* Ah this isn't going to be good

Goodwitch: Not only did you put your own life in danger you others in danger as well

Then looked to the ground being shamed, but then Goodwitch is glare faced to me and let me tell you this woman was one scary chick.

Goodwitch: And as you for you.... who the hell are you?

Lucas: None of your goddamn business

Goodwitch: Ruby you know his name?... tell me

Ruby looked up at me and winked, it made me blush for a second, till she awnsered.

Ruby: Sorry he didn't tell me

Goodwitch: *growl* this is a waste of time!

Goodwitch then sighed and looked back at us with anoyyence.

Goodwitch: If it was up to me, you two would leave here with a pat on the back..... and a slap on the wrist!

Ruby winced from the sound of the slap, we both looked concerned for a lives for a second, but then Goodwitch talk again but in a more calm tone.

Goodwitch: Fortunately for You two, you have someone who wants to speak to you

An old man came out the shadows

Ozpin: Ruby Rose you have.....silver eyes

Ruby: Uh umm

Ozpin then brings up footage of mme and fighting Roman, but the footage was more focused on Ruby at this time.

Ozpin: So where did you learn to do this?

Ruby: S...Signal Acadmey

Lucas: *thinking* huh weird name for an Acadmey

Ozpin: They taught you to use one of the most dangerous weapons ever designed

Ruby: Well one teacher in particular

Ozpin then puts down the cookies in front of Ruby, she looked at them then grabbed one then two then three and after she just started to eat the whole bunch, which made me think.

Lucas: *thinking* holy shit I think she loves cookies too much

Ozpin: It's just that I've only seen one other scythe-wielder of that skill before.... a dusty old crow

Ruby: Hmm thash muh unkul!

Lucas: What?

Ruby then swallowed the rest of the cookies and spoke without any in her mouth.

Ruby: Sorry *swallowing* that's my uncle Qrow.... he's a teacher at Signal, I was complete garbage before he took me under his wing and now I'm all like-- Hooowaaah!

Lucas: Whoa watch it Ruby

Ruby: Haha sorry Lucas

Ozpin: So I've noticed and what is an adorable little girl such as youself doing at a school designed to train warriors?

Ruby: I want to be a huntress

Ozpin: You want to stay monsters

Ruby: Yeah

Lucas: Wait monsters?..... you mean those creatures are fucking monsters?!

Ozpin: Ah I was wondering when you'd speak up because I didn't just come here to talk with Ruby, I came talk with you as well

Lucas: Me?

Ozpin: Yes you.... Glynda will please

Goodwitch: Oh course Ozpin

Goodwitch pulls up footage of me fighting the monsters in the forest and then more footage but this time I was fighting the Covenant. Ruby saw the action and was all like this is awsome and everything. Ozpin looked at me and said.

Ozpin: You mind telling why you were in the forest?

Lucas: Okay before I tell you, I have to introduce myself

Ozpin: You may

Lucas: My name is Lucas Brown

Ozpin: Lucas Brown.... interesting name for someone, my name is Ozpin

Lucas: Ozpin?.... what like the wizard of Oz or something, no offence

Ozpin: None taken.... now will please tell us how you got to our planet?

Lucas: Alright fine *sigh* I was on a mission to kill Jul Mdama the Covenant's leader at the moment, I almost had the prick but he slipped out of my hands, the UNSC then retreated into slip space to escape the Covenant, when we enter out of slip space we arrived here, an unknown planet we have never seen before that has human life, but it was all cut short for the Covenant found us and it was whole entire Damn fleet of them, the Captain order everyone to abandon ship, but.... sadly he stayed he said the Captain always goes down with his ship, he sacrificed himself to save us, but the Covenant weren't fooled by that and fire on us, we were forced to I'ver land or crash.... for me we crash, I was the only survivor on board, but I still my A.I. Sarah, she sent me to do reacon of the planet and everything.... and that's we're it lead me here... to this dark room

Ozpin: Wow.... you must have gone through hell

Lucas: You don't know the half of it Oz

Ozpin: So do you mind taking your helmet off, if it isn't to much trouble

Lucas: Not at all

I take my helmet off and everyone was expecting a grown man, but what they got was a teenage who was tall as hell, but when I toke the helmet off, Ozpin's attention was drawn to my eyes.

Ozpin: You have silver eyes as well

Lucas: Umm what....

Goodwitch: When it comes to the color of eyes Ozpin gets interested

Lucas: Okay... I'm not gonna argue with that

Ozpin: Goodwitch may I speak to you for a second?

Goodwitch: Of course.... you two stay put

Lucas: What it's not like we're going anywhere

(Ozpin Prov)

As me and Goodwitch exit the room, she sees the look on my face and then I made eye contact and said.

Ozpin: Goodwitch.... this could be him

Goodwitch: Her son?

Ozpin: Yes her son... the one who is destined for you know what

Goodwitch: But that's insane... it said her son would come back to Remnant at the age of 19, why is here at the age of 15!?

Ozpin: It doesn't matter.... he's here now and you know what that means...

Goodwitch: No Ozpin he's not ready

Ozpin: Goodwitch!... *sigh* there are two silver eyes sitting in that room, we finally have hope for the world

Goodwitch: No Ozpin the universe has hope now

Ozpin: I guess your right about the whole universe, but they still-

Goodwitch: I know Ozpin.... *sigh* they have to go to Beacon Acadmey

Ozpin: *sigh* let's not keep the two waiting

We go back into the room and sit down again facing Ruby & Lucas. For the last two minutes everything was quiet until I finally spoke.

Ozpin: Lucas

Lucas: Yes?

Ozpin: Would you care to join my school?

Lucas: School?

Ozpin: Yes school

Lucas: What kind of school is it?

Ozpin: It's a school where we train & teach Huntsmen and huntresses to fight of the Grimm

Lucas: Huh?

Goodwitch: Ozpin you might have to speak his urban language

Ozpin: It's a school for heroes

Lucas: Oh okay.... but why would you create a school like that?

Ozpin: Too protect people from evil

Lucas: And why do you want me to come.... I have my own problems

Ozpin: And what would those be?

Lucas: Well first of all the UNSC ships are scattered across the planet, second of all I have a fucking ship to repair, third I have to deal with Covenant and fourth I need to some how find a way to communicate with the Infinity but *sigh*

I was still calm and payed attention to Lucas.

Ozpin: But What?

Lucas: I don't think I have any choice so.... I'll join Beacon

Ozpin: Splended.... and how about you Ruby, would you like want to come to Beacon?

Ruby: Oh more then anything!

Ozpin: Well then it's official, I'm pleased to have you Lucas & Ruby come to Beacon, your going to have good time

Lucas: Okay I trust you Oz.... so can we go now?

Ozpin: Yes you and Mrs. Rose may leave

Ruby: Thank you for the cookies

Ozpin: My pleasure

Before I let the two go I grabbed Lucas arm and said.

Ozpin: Just remember for everyone's safety not to tell anyone that your from another planet.... only Ruby can know of this

Lucas: I... I understand sir, may I go now?

Ozpin: Yes

(Lucas Prov)

As me & Ruby walk out the building, Ruby turned to the right and I turn to the left, I kept going until I heard Ruby call out my name.

Ruby: Lucas!

Lucas: What is it?

Ruby: You want to stay at my place?

Lucas: No It's fine I'll go back to my ship and sleep there for the night

Ruby: You sure my dad can make you some good warm food and he always welcomes people into his home

Lucas: No I think it will just be a pain, so no but we're both going to Beacon so I might see you tomorrow morning

Ruby: Okay just don't be late

Lucas: Late?.... late for what

Ruby: The airship that's taking us to Beacon of course

Lucas: Oh okay well I'll try and not be late

I then smile brightly at Ruby, she then blushed lightly and smile as well after that we parted ways, I went back to the ship, while she went to home to rest up for the next day to come, tomrrow would be a new start for me, Beacon Academy here I come.
