*The next morning*

Maddy had woken up much, much, much earlier than she usually would. By that, I mean 5 in the morning. She didn't wake up because of a nightmare or anything, but the exact opposite. She'd woken up because of a good dream, and the fact that she was going to have coffee with the man of her dreams (literally, David was in her dream last night).

It was now 8:05, and Emma was still fast asleep, but what was there to expect? They both slept until AT LEAST 9 am. (Being an influencer is SO hard😫)

Maddy wanted to make herself look good for the date today (as every girl wants🙄) so she put her all of her hair up in curlers, which alone took twenty minutes in itself. Once she was done, she walked in the kitchen that was merged into the living room.

Maddy had made the dumb decision of waiting for Emma to wake up to make breakfast, but since she was nowhere near getting up, Maddy finally decided to make herself some food. Since Maddy wAsn'T liKe OtHeR gOrlS, She ripped open a pack of ramen noodles and cooked those for breakfast. What a quirky move right?

Once those were done, she poured them into a bowl and sat herself down on the couch, turning on the TV to watch whatever was on. Luckily, the TV was already on HBO that was showing "Love Actually". Although Maddy, and all the girls had seen it AT LEAST seven times, it was a classic movie that one could never skip.

About a quarter way through Maddy's movie watching, she saw Emma walk through the doorway.

"Mornin' sleepy head. I thought you'd never wake up."

"Neither did I." Emma responded with a yawn. She stretched out her arms and walked towards the fridge.

"You made Ramen and didn't leave any for me?"

"Did you think I was going to?" Maddy asked.

Emma shrugged as a way of saying "good point".

Maddy laughed and soon felt Emma plop herself down on the couch next to her.

"You do know that those curlers won't work right?" She said.

"I'm giving them a shot." Maddy replied.

*Some hours later*

An unknown amount of time had passed by when Maddy checked her phone. It was already 10:30. David was supposed to pick her up at 11:00.

"FUCK!" She shouted, jolting up out of her seat.

Before Emma could ask what had happened, Maddy had already run into her room. She had no time to be picky with choosing what she'd wear, so she just threw on a white T-Shirt, white jean pants, put two necklaces on just for the shine, and a cute cloth headband that she tied at the side. Some time when she was getting dressed, she knocked the curlers out of her hair and found that Emma was right, they did fuck all.

Maddy rushed out of her room, still buttoning her pants up, grabbed her phone and checked the time again. 10:49.

"Can you tell me what's going on please?" Emma asked.

"I'm about to be late for a date." Maddy explained, making Emma smirk at her.

"Don't look at me like that."

Before she could say anything else, she checked the time again. 10:49.

"What?" Emma asked, seeing the shocked expression on her friends face.

"He's early too."

"Well don't just stand there like an idiot, GO GWT YOUR MAN!"

Maddy nodded and ran to the front door, slipping her shoes on and grabbing her purse. Before she could shut the front door, Emma objected.

"He Madds."

"What?"

"Have fuuuuuuun." Emma said in a chimey voice.

Maddy rolled her eyes and dashed out of the apartment.
