Is cancer congenital? I mean they say some people are predisposed to getting it and it seems more like certain activities may increase the odds of triggering it but arenāt we all pretty much just walking time bombs?š£ The facts may elude me, but itās probably not the equivalent to sickness or injury in the traditional sense. I think the genes š§¬ are confused and thereās unregulated growth of the cells. Since cancer cells are, ironically, immortal I guess what normally regulates them is responsible for our aging and eventually our death. Theoretically, controlling that factor would allow us to cease agingā¦? Iāve also heard that cancer cells have a different metabolism from other cells which makes starvation a great way of fighting cancer. Apparently loss of appetite is a common symptom (though it may be the chemotherapy that causes it). I wonder, if we figured out immortality would we require more food to sustain us? Wow, I must be tiredā¦ my mind is wandering. āļø
