Wow, I was gone for a few days, and it is already dead.......Here are concerns: 1. Try to capitalize on Ju Shoufen's past as a senior who lost her daughter and granddaughter. She has higher seniority than Jia Shan due to marriage of his brother, and she is likely to be the most protective towards kids. 2. Everyone else is more selfish or hypocritical. Cao Mao would have no problem in greatly beating kids, and the two male elders are more calculative towards others rather than being emotional/righteous. Well, I know that their talk is more comedy than anything else, but this hypocritical/selfish nature is a good point to contrast against Ju Shoufen"s earnest desire to protect an innocent child. 3. Don't forget that the setting is an Ancient Chinese Culture. DPA-sama has definitely forgotten to emphasize the setting along with the morals, cultural values, matters of seniority (by family relations along with either age or cultivation level), matters of shame and modesty, filial piety, Ancestral Worship, Chinese slang (like giving a green hat), Chinese Mythology, and other stuff related to the aforementioned setting......This kinda stuff was somewhat present in arc one (by mentioning skin tone and cut hair), but you can definitely see that barely any if such things are emphasized/referenced anymore. 4. Please do more telling than showing in the future. A big weak point of the novel right now is the lack of explanation and world building. There is no explanation of the difference between heretic practitioners and orthodox practitioners, no rumors/explanation behind the origin of Beast-kin, no explanation on why Ma Moxi didn't have his cultivation progress ruined when mating with Ku'er, and a lot of other important things. 5. There are commonly items that can read exact cultivation levels and bone age. In many Xianxia novels, they would use these items to avoid cheating or to match up opponents. Additionally, cultivators (above the first four realms) should be able to sense the youthfulness of other cultivators (via their auras), and as such, non-weaklings can see through simple disguises and can differentiate talented youths from old geezers.
Is it alright to use a Demonic Avatar in front of a bunch of humans who are at war with Demons? At the least, it might not be a good idea to be suspected of demonic affiliation while near the puppet Emperor.......Sigh, this is literally how you can get framed or used as a pretext to restarting a wave of super patriotic/nationalist battles. Tsk tsk tsk
