Cao Mao is probably going to start a clan in that area where his clan will grow into a powerhouse clan. Unfortunately it isn't big enough yet or it could be considered a medium level clan at this point with over a dozen 4th rank cultivators. Not extremely powerful but not something most people and clans can mess with either. Though if I am not wrong he has like 12 sons right now and 11 are half orcs, so after they grow up and start a family themselves that should exponentially increase the size of the clan, plus with their Cultivation technique even the kids won't have issues reaching the 4th rank. It will take a few decades but a huge plot of land is just what this budding clan needs, eventually this manor in the myriad cauldron sect would probably become a branch of the clan if he keeps it. Plus if his tamed geese have kids that Cao Mao's children tame then that is no joke either. Overall this can snowball into a huge and powerful clan.

Thanks for the chapter!!! I was surprised there, because I forgot about the babies for s second. Not to mention, I didn't think that Cao Mao was so far gone that his children could become half-orcs or they both Ju Chen and Kang Yan were infertile. I can only wish them luck in fixing the issue, and I do wonder what happen when Cao Mao starts cultivating other Demonic techniques/arts. I wonder whether the [How to awaken Oni Bloodline] book teaches any skills that can be fused with other techniques. If so, he might be able to create a technique or unique Mystic Art that can harmonize the different bloodlines so that he can one day become something like Naraku (Inuyasha anime). As for the abandoned city, even I am suspicious of it. They won't have to worry much if it was simply abandoned because of being at a bad location for trade or having bad agriculture, but Cao Mao might want to tread more carefully if the city was abandoned because of a monster stampede, natural disasters, having a powerful undead or many undead sealed underneath it, supernaturally misfortune events happening repeatedly, etc. He will have to do more investigation and prepare more safety nets if he really must hide out in the unnamed city. .........At the least, he might want to prepare some defenses and disguises for his family. He will also have to try attracting merchants or some people to his new city too .

BTw, has Cao Mao improved his Alchemy expertise and diversity during this time? I am not sure whether he had the free time or not, but it would be great if he learned how to to create any other medical products. Even better, I think we could be proud of him if he created or modified any new recipes. As for the kids, I guess no one ever created a any type of trinkets to seal their true forms yet. He probably doesn't need to stress the issue right now. However, I guess it could be an interesting research topic or maybe a future crafting project....if he ever becomes intrigued by the thought of such items
