Chapter 62 : Escaped

Captain Albi stands in front of the raging elephant.

"Hey! Hey you! Move away from there. You'll get crushed by the elephant," yelled a man.

But Albi didn't move. The elephant got closer. It raises its front legs and ready to stomp Albi. Albi put a stance. He holds the elephant's leg.

"A beast like this... will not defeat ME!" Albi yelled as he pushed the elephant back with all his might.

The Elephant got pushed back and soon calmed down.

"H-hey, you stopped the elephant. That's amazing," said a merchant, followed by the murmurs of others.

The merchants who sell the animals soon approach Albi.

"Thanks for stopping it," said the animal merchant.

"No problem," said Albi.

Suddenly, Albi's phone rings.

"Meet us at the market's entrance" - Axion-

Albi glanced at the animal merchants. They're still looking for the salamanders. He put his phone back in his pocket and headed towards the entrance.

At the entrance, Axion and the others are waiting.

"As expected from Kaizo. You managed to catch these fire salamanders," said Mithra.

"Are you ok? Did your hands get burnt?" Olivia asked.

"I'm fine," said Kaizo indifferently.

"E-excuse me. What are you going to do with us?" asked one of the victims.

"A friend of mine would like to help you. Seeing how you were put into cages, we thought you're a victim of trafficking. Ah, there he is," said Axion.

Albi calmly climbs the stairs towards the entrance of the market.

"I see the mission is successful. I have no doubt the Lady is capable of anything," said Albi.

Axion nods. "This is the man who will help you."

The victims looked at Albi with an unsure look.

"Do not worry. I will see to it that each one of you will return to your home planet," said Albi.

"T-then, we can go home?" asked one of the victims.

"Of course. With my honor as the knight of Rubrum, I will help all of you," said Albi.

The victims sighed in relief. Smiles begin to return to their faces. Many of them repeatedly thanked Albi.

"How do you plan to help these people?" Axion asked.

"I will call my people to send ships. They will be here," said Albi.

"Well, that's convenient," Axion replied.

Albi chuckled. "Perks of being a Captain."

"Well, if there's nothing else, Kaizo and I need to rejoin our team."

"Of course, my lady. Thank you for accompanying me today."

"The pleasure is mine. Oh, by the way. Good luck on your final," said Axion.

"Yes. I will do my best."

Axion and Kaizo walk back to Maxima colosseum. The battle at D block is about to end when they arrive.

"Kaizo, Axion!" Rum exclaimed.

"Finally. How's the market?" Ramenman asked.

"Pretty good. How's the battle on D block?" Axion asked.

Ramenman points at the arena. Both Axion and Kaizo looked.

"Diablo's devil stick is beating the other fighters. He is indeed our master's younger brother!" Pandora yelled.

Diablo fights his enemies by throwing devil sticks at his opponent. His devil stick has a sharp metal spike on each of its ends.

"I didn't know Diabolos have a younger brother," Axion mumbled.

"Obviously," said Phoenix. "Rumor said Diabolos has a younger brother who works as an assassin. He doesn't want people to know about it. Nobody knows Diablo is real until he shows up on today's tournament."

"How intriguing," said Axion.

At the arena, Diablo leisurely defeats his enemies as he flawlessly plays his devil sticks. He keeps hitting the center baton with his two control sticks without letting it fall.

"Heh, who else should I aim next?" Diablo grin.

A fighter ran at him. Diablo quickly hit his baton. The baton bounced and flew to the fighter. Stabbing him in the stomach. The fighters immediately fall. He pulls another baton from under his coat.

"How many of those sharp batons does he have in his coat?" Axion wonder.

"Who knows. It's like he's a magician with endless tricks under his sleeve," said Ramenman.

"And the winner of D block is... DIABLO!" Pandora yelled.

The crowds cheered.

"And so, we finally have our finalist. Albus from A block, Mr. K from B block, Noche from C block, and Diablo from D block," Pandora continued.

"That's our cue. Let's go to the fighter's hall," said Kaizo.

Axion nods.

"Be careful down there. Especially with Diablo," said Ramenman. "I got a feeling he's going to be troublesome."

"Got it," said Axion as she gave a thumb's up.

"You're not backing down?" Kaizo asked as they headed to the fighter's hall.

"Nope," Axion replied. "With alien trafficking and illegal animal traders we found in the market today, I got a feeling this mission is bigger than we thought."

Axion suddenly stop. Kaizo looked at her.

"It's like this entire planet is a corrupted city," Axion mumbled as she looked up.
