Chapter 22 – Humble Apology (1)

Chapter 22 – Humble Apology (1)

Old Blindman led Grandpa through this "extremely lively" market and finally came to a coffin shop. Old Blindman knocked on the door and said softly, "Blind Liu from Jiangnan is here to give myself up."

Give himself up?

Grandpa frowned. "What do you mean?" he whispered. "Is the legendary man in here?"

"Yes," Old Blindman whispered back.

"Oh sh*t!" Grandpa yelped. You would feel guilty if you did something wrong and this was the case for Grandpa now. His heart kept pounding. He was afraid that the legendary man would open the door with a three-meter-long sword and cut him into pieces.

"Don't be afraid," Old Blindman said. "There's always someone responsible. I've taken responsibility so it won't have anything to do with you."

"Come in," a deep voice sounded within the coffin shop as soon as Old Blindman finished speaking.

"Follow me," Old Blindman told Grandpa.

With that, Old Blindman softly pushed open the door. Grandpa forced himself to follow behind.

After entering the shop, he saw a craftsman sanding coffin boards. Grandpa was already nervous. When he saw the craftsman, he was even more frightened—for no reason other than the fact that the man was honestly too ugly. More importantly, his hands were disfigured. His two thumbs were both split open and another finger grew out of it. It looked like he had 12 fingers.

The female corpse kept biting on Grandpa's two fingers.

This craftsman had two extra fingers.

Grandpa suddenly had a bad feeling. He thought that these two things were definitely related, but he couldn't figure out how. He felt guilty and scared now, but this craftsman didn't even look up at them. He focused on sanding the coffin board without speaking. Old Blindman didn't speak either. He just lit his copper pipe and started smoking casually.

Grandpa was suddenly enlightened; he realized that there was no point in being scared. If these two old Immortals fought, he wouldn't even qualify to speak as a mundane. In other words, they could take his life in an instant. Being afraid was useless.

He couldn't beat them and he couldn't run away. What could he do other than accept his fate?

After a long while, the craftsman finally finished sanding the board. He looked up at Grandpa and his eyes started moving down to Grandpa's back. His eyes were like a sharp sword. Under his gaze, Grandpa felt like every bit of him was exposed and he was drenched in cold sweat after getting looked at.

"Blind Liu, how dare you!" the craftsman huffed.

"Don't get angry so soon," Old Blindman said. "Since I did something wrong but still dared to come, I obviously have something prepared."

"Okay," the craftsman said. "You better satisfy me. I happen to need two human skins right now."

"Let's speak elsewhere," Old Blindman said.
