Elders

An Abyssal Creature fell to the ground. Travis leveled up and placed his stat points accordingly. Flinnder was hovering nearby, watching the slaughter.

He chuckled, "You know, having you kill the Abyssal Creatures in my competitors territory is quite amusing."

Travis asked, "Is that how you found me? Did you think I was an enemy candidate attacking your territory?"

Flinnder smiled, "Your quite the smart one. Imagine my shock when it turns out that your just some outsider! Though I must say your growth is quite fast for someone of your... caliber."

Of course this was because Travis' level couldn't compare to his stats. As he progressed his rate of growth was far greater than any player. Each time he grew stronger another hidden quest could be completed.

Sadly there were most likely hundreds, if not thousands of quests he had no idea about. His current situation was one. He lacked information about the royalty of the Abyss. The bits he did know was that they weren't to be trifled with.

Flinnder continued, "That works for me, the stronger you get the more benefits I can acquire."

Travis cut down another creature, "I was never informed on what I was fighting for."

Flinnder stopped smiling, "That doesn't concern you. Perhaps if your victorious you will find answers. Until then focus on improvement."

Travis nodded timidly, Flinnder was scary when he talked like that. Perhaps he was more terrifying due to Travis' strong want to not start over along with the full capability to do so that the royal had. Travis made a mental note not to ask about the details.

"Good, now go kill that one over there. It's been a while since I have seen a living High Abyssal Creature. Perhaps you could gain quite a bit from it."

Travis looked towards the direction Flinnder gestured to. A large monstrous beast roamed the land, slaughtering anything in its way.

When Travis saw it his eyes narrowed, this was the Land Guardian from the Plains of Plague!

Akiol saw the Genius making his escape and frowned. While he was attempting to fully adjust himself with the uses of his sub-weapon, he didn't have any flight tools!

A thought formed in his head, while he didn't have any flight tools he had something else. Using [Leap] he launched himself towards the top of the wall. Just as he escaped from the fire lotus he was forcefully ejected from the separate dimension.

Extending his off-hand out behind him he used [Tool 3 (Repulser)]. The energy wave extended and Akiol was sent higher from the recoil. However, it wasn't enough!

It was at that moment Akiol realized he should have used [Leap] with a full strength buff! In his haste to try out a new tool he disregarded the other facts!

This wouldn't stop him anyway! He used [Tool 5 (Extended Rope)] and it connected to the top edge of the wall. Switching [Aura Boost] to all strength he pulled with all his might. This increased his airtime but he would just barely miss the wall!

So he extended his sword, stabbing the wall with [Dimensional Pierce] he created a makeshift foothold!

As he jumped off of it he made it shorten, forcing the sword to dislodge and fall to the ground. Yet it was saved by the usage of [Tool 4 (Magnet)]. With all of this, he made it to the top of the wall!

The Genius had already descended to the ground and was running towards a group of individuals. Akiol switch to his buff to agility and bolted to him.

The Genius spotted Akiol and cursed, "You determined fool! How desperate are you to finish me off?!"

Akiol responded, "Following orders, you haven't done much to stop me."

"Hmph! [Earth Path Ultimate Art: Ascended Cliff]!"

The Genius slid and slapped his hands to the ground. Suddenly the ground beneath him rose, leaving a cliff face stopping Akiol.

Akiol threw a rope from his Hexagonal Multitool. It touched the top and he began to quickly ascend the cliff.

The Genius didn't hesitate to flee towards backup. His pursuer was seemingly impossible to stop. He would need backup to stop him.

Akiol climbed over the cliff in a short time. However the sight in front of him made him stop. Several well dressed elders stood next to the Genius. One of them began to speak, "So this is the one you were unable to lose? He doesn't seem like much."

The Genius nodded, "That is correct elder, I beseech your assistance in dealing with him!"

The elder flicked his wrist, "Hmph! You there, it would be best if you leave. If you don't... I will get violent!"

Akiol found this way of talking funny. It seemed to be filled with overconfidence. He personally wanted to play the part, "Violent? With me? I don't think you can afford the price!"

"Hmph! Arrogant! It looks like this elder will have to personally teach you a lesson. [Thirteen Brick Style: First Brick]!"

A thick rectangular prism of stone was magically cut from the ground and rose in front of the elder. The elder punched it and the stone sailed towards Akiol.

Akiol dodged the stone and began to charge towards the elder. As the two fought the Genius asked another elder, "Will elder be fine by himself?"

The other elder responded confidently, "While you're cultivating the elemental path technique, it lacks a specific element to master. Expert of many, master of none. However Elder Storren is a master of stone, his Brick style was personally developed by him. This individual couldn't hope to compete!"

Schluck-

A sword pierced through the Elder Storren's chest. Akiol click his tongue in disappointment, "Your techniques take far to long to activate. Full of so many openings."

Elder Storren coughed blood, "You..."

He couldn't finish his sentence, for he fell to the ground dead. Akiol had used a full strength buff attack on the Elder's heart. The critical attack along with his high strength easily finished off Elder Storren.

"You dare!" A female screamed.

The female pulled out a sword, it was a pure white with several purple lightning bolts decorating the blade. Purple lightning crackled across her body as she dashed towards Akiol in anger.

One of the elders shouted, "Young Filal!"

The Genius frowned, "What's going on?"

The elder's brow creased, "Elder Storren was Filal's mentor. He greatly approved of her talent. I am sure she is thoroughly angered by his death. She even pulled out such a high grade weapon."

The Genius felt like a pattern was about to repeat, "We should assist!"

The elder nodded, "Young Filal isn't as strong as Elder Storren, she is walking to her death."

The Genius patted his chest, "I shall help!"

The elder shook his head, "No, your the future of the Dragon Head Clan. Your natural energy is running low. Allow these elders to personally take action. Elder Harrol! Elder Quio! Let's go!"

Akiol blocked the incoming strike from Filal. She was quite fast with the lightning ability. Yet he was faster. Their swords danced, each clash leaving a spray of lightning that spread across the ground.

Someone shouted, "[Forbidden Art: Dragon Pressure]!"

The eye of a dragon appeared about the user. It stared down Akiol, meaning to inflict fear. He stared back at the eye, unaffected.

The elder spat blood, how did he survive the forbidden art? He had sacrificed a lot of life force to keep him still, yet it didn't work!

That was because of Akiol's Title! The One Who Stared Back! He was immune to all fear effects from dragons. The forbidden art directly inflicted the dragon's fear inducing methods, meaning it was a copy.

It worked on Filal, for a moment. She froze in fear at the menacing eye. Until it shattered, she then regained her senses. Along with her anger.

"[Heavenly Form: Golden Silhouette]!"

An elder was surrounded by a large golden aura. It formed into a figure, several times the height of the elder.

Akiol deflected a blow from Filal. He frowned, not only did he have to deal with the crazy sword lady, but a devil fruit user to!

'This is quite entertaining.'

"Stars, I thought you can only see if I am thinking about your existence."

'Normally yeah, whenever you enter this separate spaces I can see everything like it's a movie! What's with these styles? It's so cool!'

"You want to take part?"

'What do you mean?'

"I can make a cool chant for your repulse ability. Just gotta let me use it on the big golden guy."

'Hmm, your body hasn't fully recovered from the previous time you know.'

"Ah, I don't mind. I do need you to further expand what you mean by recover, but is it agreed on?"

'Fine... it better sound cool though.'

"You can yell at me if it's not."

Akiol dispelled Breaker Of Stars and switch his buff to strength. Using [Dimension Skip] he teleported in front of the golden elder.

"Space Form Forbidden Technique: [Repulse]!"
