It was obvious in vol 1 that Theo had a special place for Lucy. A love hidden behind his silence. I’m so glad that vol 2 goes back to the beginning for us to understand what actually happened. I’m already eager and hopeful for a volume 3 lol going back to present time, to know if Lucy and Theo actually get to be together and openly get to express and share their love eekkkkKkkk

Theo was always so tightly leashed in volume 1. It’s nice to experience the feelings behind his quiet eyes. I just hate the torture that both Lucy and he have to go through to reach their happily ever after.

Aw Theo sacrificed his love for Lucy for his friend Calhoun, to help him achieve his goal 💖 that's a friend hard to find who puts away his own feelings for his friend's sake. I just hope that on the present time Lucy is able to understand him since at the end of the day their actions somehow benefited her as well.

I am *loving* Theo’s depth in this. We always knew of his loyalty to Calhoun, but it’s pretty great to see how it all began.

Theo is wrestling with himself and his anguish over what to do is becoming more and more evident. Can he be with Lucy while also helping Calhoun claim the throne? His loyalty to Cal appears at odds with his budding love for Lucy. In Volume 1 it seemed that Theo had huge respect for Lucy & was loving her from a distance, not allowed to get too close because of his duty & obedience to Cal combined with Lucy’s bitterness towards him. It was like he was a closed book, full of deep feeling but with so many words unspoken. I’m looking forward to finding out about the specific details of their relationship? Does Theo choose to walk away without fighting for Lucy because he thinks she’s better off without him? Does he acccept her marriage to Samuel believing it to be a better choice for her, sacrificing his own feelings? Is it Theo’s choice to give her up or does Calhoun intervene & disallows the relationship? Is Lucy forcibly locked away by her parents until her wedding day so thst Theo can’t get to her? Can’t wait to find out what happens next!!!!

Well. It all sense now. Best to help Cal anyways because If he didn’t, those royals wouldn’t have died and probably would’ve tracked down Theo and Lucy

That was sweet. The sweet but tragic love of Lucy n Theo. However, it is releaving that after decades their tragic love will be fruitful. Can't wait to read that how he's gonna recapture her heart n affection then. Hope author Ash will be kind to let us know that as well. Here I would like to call myself greedy. Waiting for updates of other books too but, without over working n overwhelming all ur energy.
