I was so glad for aNother chapter until i read it and realise this one left me with an even bugger cliffhanger 🤣🤷‍♀️ Yup the King is still testing her for her abilities and also her character, he wont allow Beth around Maddie if its a small chance Beth will harm her in any way

These r the moments when I really wish the book was completed so I could read rest of the chapters in one go... Oh what a cliffhanger

I don’t think Calhoun would jeopardize his relationship with Maddie by killing Beth. But Beth still has to admit her mistakes to at least amend some of it.

What a funny bedside manner Calhoun has. “So how does it feel to know you’re going to die soon.” I doubt Calhoun shot her because it would result in Madeline hating him. He wouldn’t risk anything to have Madeline change her feelings of love for him. I’m a little more sympathetic towards Beth now though because she was being manipulated by her grandparents too. Since Calhoun said she was the one that broke the vases then she possesses powers too. Maybe she’ll help protect Madeline when the time comes. Great chapters and can’t wait for the next.

For sure he didn't kill her. It was his test for her with a choice either die pitifully or get a free ticket back to life. Now she gained her half ticket, the other half will come with antidote . But seriously man what kind of gradma and aunt she had? Neither human not angel, even demons were far far better. Hideous minded creatures. And what's the real identity of Beth? Which she herself ia not aware. I'm glad that she is changing for good.

Cal will not kill Beth, that I believe.. He's doing it because he has his own trick for Beth or maybe a little revenge so he can take out some of his anger piling out for her. 😆

I dont think he shot her. I think the shot was a warning... He would never hurt Maddie & so far hasnt lied to her either. I cant imagine if he had shot her, he would be truthful as to why. So that makes me believe he fired a warning...

He’s not gonna kill her, He’s testing her. the bullet will turn into petals or something. He doesn’t want to hurt Maddie. If anything he’ll let her die or rot but not actually kill her. He wouldnt put a wedge between him and Maddie.
