Love this chapter!!! Their conversations are more heartfelt! 💕 Maddie will truly fall in love with him by the time of the wedding! 🥰 At least Maddie knows she can confide with Calhoun. She really trusts him more now. I hope she realizes it soon.

Their conversations felt so real.... like aNother heartfelt conversation between the two.... no tease & no jokes. And Calhoun also drop hints to her to be careful of her sister, giving her truths of how reality works even amongst blood siblings. I also love the way Calhoun explains matters clearly especially about the shop, he doesnt let anyone misunderstand him when it is about Madeline. He is someone who doesnt need to explain for his actions, but he did so well this time for her 😍💕

I’m falling deeper and deeper for Calhoun. He loves her so much that he’s slowly teaching her about trust. We know Beth would fight Maddie for her place.

What an understanding man she's off to marry! Maddie is so pure while Calhoun is the exact opposite. But he's true to his nature unlike other vicious beings around them. The couples made exactly for each other (by our dear author Ash of course). Now she's also opening up about her inner feelings. Good sign.

Wow, what a deep conversation. I really love this chapter. It really demonstrates Calhoun’s seriousness in helping Maddie raise her awearness of how backstabbing people, including family can be. He gives her reason to how aggressive anyone can be to gain wealth and power. I think he’s helping Maddie to open her eyes. Beth has always brought Maddie down and she realizes it by telling Calhoun she’s felt bad. With all jokes and sarcasm aside, Calhoun’s shown a new side to Maddie in this chapter. It practically tells Maddie that Calhoun can be a lover, protector, and now a confidant friend. Great chapter! 👍🏼

Madelyn is finally experiencing genuine intamacy with Calhoun. I can’t wait to see what happens next. I am very curious about what Markus is going to come up with and how Calhoun will deal with his lies. Heads might roll on a wedding day!

Did you notice? Calhoun was about to leave but Madeline had (in a way) stopped him. That's Maddie letting her big bad wolf stay longer in her room and pouring her heart out to him 💜
