The vacation went wrong!!!

Russia, one of the strongest and largest Empire in the world.

On the eighth floor of the Hotel Grand Vass, a private suite for the guests of the Vassiliev family.

The interior of the suite gives off a classic antique aesthetic vibe of the 18th century, the suite was elegantly furnished with handmade furniture, including luxury en-suite modern facilities with complimentary amenities.

There was a big flat-screen TV in the hall, in front of the TV placing a couple of sofas facing each other in two rows. Erisviel was sitting on the east side of a sofa facing west.

Zulkernyn, Sabastian and Ana were sitting on the other sofa.

They were talking about Ian, who was not present with them.

Nyx wanted to take a break from work, so she stayed with Cassandra at Country Y.

Li Hwa had a break from work for a couple of weeks, so Aaron wanted to spend his time with Li Hwa.

Aurora is still missing but Aaron assured the others to not worry about Aurora.

After Sabastian returned from his sister's private island. He learned that among the 8 of them, one was missing, two were taking a break from work and wanted to spend their time with family and girlfriend.

Ian didn't have much work and Zulkernyn wanted to take a rest after the assassination attempt on his life, which he still hasn't recovered from.

Erisviel was burning out with work and Ana needed a distraction from her lab since she was spending almost all of her time at her lab.

Seeing Erisviel and Ana's state, Sabastian decided to take the misfits to Russia and have a relaxing time away from work.

A two-week vacation was in order.

It's been three days since they came to Russia. They toured the city of Moscow on the first day and went sightseeing near Kremlin yesterday afternoon-

Walking along with the group, Ian became separated from the misfits.

He was sightseeing alone when he got acquainted with Aleksei Sobolev.

Aleksei is the only child of Aleksandr Sobolev, a member of the Russian Parliament. He was around the same age as Ian, a tall well-built boy in his late teens. He had blonde hair and blue eyes.

After being acquainted with Aleksei, Ian and Aleksei quickly bonded through similar tastes in hobbies.

They were followed by a group of men wearing suits.

Ian noticed the group but feigned ignorance, he wanted to know what their objective was.

After walking for a while, Ian and Aleksei entered a restaurant nearby.

A few people were in the restaurant.

Just as they were about to go find a seat, they heard some crackling sound from outside.

Twice in a row.

Ian and Aleksei turned around and looked back to see what happened when a *boom* sound was heard.

Just as they turned, they saw a black cylindrical-shaped object flying towards them and *boom* it exploded.

It was so sudden that they forgot to take cover as they were surprised.

Their vision then turned white to black and their ears were ringing.

*hnnnnnggg*

A couple of minutes passed when Ian slowly regained his vision and the ringing in his ears went away.

'A flashbang?' Ian said in his mind.

"But where's Aleksei?" He turned around but couldn't see Aleksei.

He tried to look around the restaurant but there was no help, he couldn't find Aleksei!

"Aleksei!!!" Ian called out.

But there was no response.

He called out several times, yet no reply.

There was commotion all around as people ran around trying to escape from the restaurant.

"Luckily, no one was harmed." Ian muttered to himself.

Looking outside, the situation was the same as inside the restaurant.

Who detonated the flashbangs? Everyone had this question in mind.

No one would detonate the flashbangs for no reason.

People who were sensible thought.

Ian frowned.

"Those people in suits, they were probably responsible for this. Knowing that Aleksei is the only child of a high profile parliament member, and Aleksei being missing... Putting two and two together, it's obvious they were here for him and they took him..." Ian muttered as he walked out of the restaurant.

Taking out his phone, he tracked where his misfit group was.

Seeing that they returned to the hotel, Ian also returned to the hotel.

At night, on the news.

"Aleksei Sobolev, the only child of Aleksandr Sobolev went missing!"

The news spread like wildfire, Aleksei Sobolev became the topic of discussion for everyone in Russia.

Discussions about his disappearance continued for the misfits in their hotel suite all night

The misfits just finished their breakfast when they heard the entrance door being knocked.

Zulkernyn got up from the dining table and went to open the door.

Opening the door, Zulkernyn was surprised!

There were police at the door.

Holding a photo of Ian, the policeman asked in an aggressive tone.

"Where is this boy?"

Zulkernyn didn't need to answer, the rest of the misfits were standing behind him and Ian was also there.

The policeman with the photo in his hand entered the suite seeing Ian.

"Yesterday you were with Aleksei Sobolev?"

"Yes, I ..." Ian was answering the policeman when he was interrupted mid-sentence.

"You have to come with us." The policeman didn't let Ian finish and quickly apprehended him.

Ian looked back at the misfits, specifically Sabastian.

Sabastian didn't say anything, as he was silently watching.

The rest were the same.

Seeing his best friends, Ian also didn't explain himself and was silent.

The police officer pushed Ian to walk.

Ian had no choice but to go with the police.

Today on the third day, the misfits saw their best friend Ian was taken by the police for questioning.

The misfits were sitting on the sofa after the police left with Ian.

"I don't see any other way. Only through Aleksei's father, Aleksandr, can we bring back Ian. And I'm not completely sure whether I will succeed in that too! Because the whole thing will depend on Aleksei's father. Only if he believes me can we have the police release him. So I will be going to meet Aleksandr Sobolev!"

Sabastian has been discussing with the misfits about going to visit Aleksei's father regarding Ian's release.

The misfit's know that Ian is innocent but they don't understand why the police took him away.

That's why Sabastian wants to go to visit Aleksei's father and tell him everything that Ian has told the misfits last night.

"Will he even welcome you?" Erisviel asked.

Sabastian smirked at Erisviel, hearing her question.

"Who do you think I am?"

Ana shook her head.

"Basti iz a noble and a Heilige, the youngezt zon of the Zword Zaintz. If Aleksandr doezn't vant to dizrezpect the Heilige family, then 'e 'as no choice but to meet Basti." Ana explained to Erisviel.

They talked more about what to do and the disappearance of Aleksei in-depth for an hour before Sabastian got up from the sofa.
