We follow the maid to the foyer and once we arrive, I see a tall man with black hair. "Uncle Sirius, we finally got our letters." I said with a smile. "Congrats, so I suppose you want to go to Diagon Alley. I would take you, but I'm just so busy." He said unconvincingly. "Well that's a shame, me and Ruby was going to buy you something nice, but I guess we'll just have to forget about it." I said lying through my teeth.
"Well I guess you've twisted my arm, so I'll take you." He said faking exasperated face. "No you've got work, I'm sure me and Ruby will be fine on our own." I say, grabbing Ruby's hand and walking towards the door. "Ok ok you've made your point." He said with his hands up. I look at him and smile. "To make up for it can I drive your motorbike?" I ask knowing the answer. "No, it's still broken form the time you hot-wired it." He said with exasperation.
"I have no recollection of that." I said in an unconvincing tone. "Well anyway, let's go get your school stuff." Sirius said, changing the subject. "Oh Ruby, I just remembered something." I said, putting my hand on her head. I channel magic into her head, to give her memories of this place. "Why didn't you do this in the first place?" Ruby asks exasperated, with a hand clutching her head. "To be honest, I forgot." I said with an embarrassed smile.
"Why didn't Sera remind you?" Ruby asked. "Sera is still updating herself." I said sadly, looking down. "Don't worry she will be back soon." Ruby said trying to comfort me. "I know it's just she's been with me for twenty years now, and it's already been a year since she started." I say, it's going to be hard, luckily I have Ruby. I just grab her hand, and head towards the car. On the way we just make small talk about some hidden passages in Hogwarts, and Sirius hopes we find his map when we get there.
Once we arrive, we park up outside the Leaky Cauldron. We get out of the car and I look up at the nondescript building. I smile and start walking in. I see loads of people, just drinking and talking. As we pass by, I wave to Tom the innkeeper. We reach the entrance to Diagon Alley. "Do you two know which brick it is?" He asked looking from me to Ruby. "I know, I know, it's three up and two across from the bins." Ruby said remembering it. Sirius smiles and taps the brick, then a hole formed in the middle and started to get bigger.
Now that it's fully open, we see a winding road filled with shops. Ruby can't stop herself jumping up and down in excitement. "Calm down Ruby, now where should we go first?" Sirius asked looking from Ruby to me. "Gringotts, we need to get some money." I said leading the way, while also looking at the shops we pass. We reach the marble white building, and see the sign.
Enter stranger, but take heed. Of what awaits the sin of greed. For those who take, but do not earn, must pay most dearly in their turn. So if you seek beneath our floors. A treasure that was never yours, Thief, you have been warned, beware of finding more then treasure there.
"Even I'm not mad enough to try and break-in." Sirius said with a laugh. We walked through the bronze doors and towards the counter. "Welcome to Gringotts, how may I help you." Said the goblin behind the counter. "I'll like to take out money from vault six hundred and thirteen." Sirius said, pulling out a small key. The goblin examined the key and then nodded. "Griphook, take these people to their vault." Said the goblin. Griphook gestured to follow.
Once we got off the cart, I heard Sirius say. "That always gives me a headache." Griphook was leading us towards the vault, then stops. He holds his hand out for the key, which Sirius places in his hand. Griphook then starts to open the vault, when i see the contents I have a big smile. I grab a bag and start pilling money into it. After about five minutes of filling the bag, we left. "So were to next?" Sirius asks looking at us. "Ollivander's I want to ask something." I said walking towards the shop.
We arrive and open the door. No one was here. "Eh hello we are here to buy our wands." I shout out, hoping he can hear me. "Coming, coming." Said a voice from the back.
