I think I can guess now what kind of secret the princess was hiding which led to her excile in her previous life. I think the medicine caused inferitility. The candidate for the crown princess can not be inferitile as the future empress she should be able to bear a heir for the empire. If the higher nobles knew about it before she became empress she would not been eligible as a crown princess candidate. However, she kept it a secret and became the empress of the empire as she loved her emperor brother. But hiding it equaled treason because if it was not for her hiding another qualified empress would be by the side of the emperor and already had his child. But this is just my theory 😋

If she is taking a forbidden medicine to prevent her from having a child, it is a form of birth control and she would not be infertile. It would mean she does not wish to have a child for some reason. Maybe she does not want a child born from her brother. Does she truly love her brother in the sense of spending long cold nights in bed with him? 😂😂😂😂 There is brotherly love and then there is what we would call forbidden love today.
