Interesting concept. But the whole point of a reincarnation novel is to have the advantage of memories of previous life. This just sounds like you want to use "reasons" to drag things out and keep things a "mystery" for longer. I'll keep going for a while more, but i absolutely HATE the memory loss trope. So i'm dropping this if his missing memories plays a large part of the story and serves to keep him down for a longer time in order to drag out the story, rather then make him rise up.
