Nice and he should definitely accept the job in the ministry. Not only he could at least try to curb the power of the "imperiosed" death eaters but also try to make some more equality for the muggleborns. That could give his live an objective to keep him from getting bored with live. Well that and a good wife. A healthy relationship with a woman who he would come to love,raising "his" children and fighting for a life time objective. That would help him recover from the war and keep his mind busy.
