Heist Approved!

Gan continued to train Jolteon and Machoke, he really wanted to train the others. However, he didn't want to reveal all of his Pokemon carelessly.

"Are you ready? Vaporeon, you're up." Gan summoned Vaporeon and had him stand across the field away from Jolteon and Machoke.

Machoke moved to another part of the field to train with Kadabra. The pressure Kadabra used on it was sharp and massive. At this point, Machoke was sweating bullets but Gan had a small pool close by.

Inside of it was his Horsea. Every now and then, she would gently spray Machoke with some water to cool him down.

Gan's main focus was on training Jolteon for the upcoming battle with Misty. Electrode would probably be better since it was, in fact, faster than Jolteon. Gan thought about this but he ultimately opted for Jolteon.

"Alright, this is how it's going to go. Vaporeon, I want you to attack Jolteon with Water Gun and Water Pulse to test his dodging ability." Gan knew Water Pulse was a big move for Misty, he had to be ready for it.

Vaporeon was perfect for the job since it learned the move naturally.

Vaporeon looked hesitant to attack his sister. Yes, they were siblings; Kadabra made this clear when Gan asked earlier.

"Do it." Gan grinned and said.

"It's for her training, this is also for your training when it comes to accuracy. Get strong together, there will be no weaklings allowed around here." Gan rarely trained his Pokemon in this fashion, so this was important to him.

Vaporeon looked between Gan and Jolteon, but Jolteon nodded with a crucial gaze. Suddenly, Vaporeon pulled a 180 in personality, he seemed hell-bent on this now.

"There we go!" Gan clapped in a congratulatory manner.

Vaporeon immediately sent several water attacks toward Jolteon at high speed. Jolteon zipped left and right to dodge the attacks. This didn't come as a surprise to Gan at all, he just needed to up the intensity.

"Growlithe and Vulpix, go and help our buddy Vaporeon, in assisting Jolteon with his training." Vulpix and Growlithe were just hanging off to the side, but they raised their heads in glee when they heard Gan.

Both quickly got into position, but Jolteon's expression wasn't looking so good. Growlithe was quite up there in level, so there was no doubt that an attack from her would deal heavy damage.

Vulpix was at level 25, so her attacks weren't something to laugh at either. The aura surrounding those attacks would hurt fairly bad.

"Ember! Blast her!" Gan ordered energetically, he was sitting down comfortably watching.

Growlithe and Vulpix didn't show any hesitation and fired upon Jolteon. Jolteon dodged and moved as fast as it could, it was even creating afterimages in its wake.

"Growlithe moved to the side of the training ground and attacked!"

"Come forth Charmander and join in on the practice session!" Gan quickly tossed another Pokeball and summoned the 3-star Charmander from Rock Tunnel.

"Charmander..." Charmander ran to the location of Vulpix and joined her to the side to attack. Vaporeon stopped her assault for a moment but continued in the end.

Unfortunately, Jolteon was hit by Growlithe—who was hanging off to the side. That was all it took for it to be bombarded with Embers!

"Jolteon~!!" Jolteon screeched in pain, but fortunately, Vaporeon hurriedly shot some water at her.

This training continued for a while, but at this time he was being watched by several people.

"This...he has so many fire types and good ones at that." Allura's Grandpa was watching with some binoculars.

"I checked his records, he already has a Gym badge. As for him being from Unova, we can't be too sure about that." A man in a black cloak spoke in a hoarse voice.

"You're right. I heard that the League is about to make its move because of the whole Prof. Oak situation. Do you think he would qualify to join any of those teams?" Allura's Grandpa said mysteriously.

"Oh, yeah, he qualifies alright. He's so young, and is already so talented in battle and understanding things. With the amount of fire Pokemon he has, he should qualify for that team." The cloaked man nodded under his hood.

"I'll see if he's interested sometime later. Right now, he's training his Pokemon, it could be for the next Gym Leader, Misty." Allura's Grandpa came to this conclusion.

"This is likely, either or, let me know if he does accept so we can recruit him. The Kanto League has no champion yet to take on tasks for Kanto. This has allowed Team Rocket to act unbridled and unprincipled throughout the region."

The mysterious man said these last bit of words before disappearing.

The old man didn't reply, he only stared at Gan through the binoculars. They wanted to recruit young talented trainers, but he noticed that Gan wasn't a ranked trainer at all.

"I wonder if he really will be interested."

Gan continued with his Pokemon training, he noticed that Machoke and Jolteon were getting better.

Allura came to visit, she was amazed at what she was seeing—she was especially curious about the Pokemon with the spoon. She spoke of fighting her cousin in a battle and defeating him yesterday, and that it was a crushing defeat for him.

The next day after breakfast, Jolteon was tasked with using electric attacks. Jolteon was to hold on and continue his lightning attack for a while.

The Roseworth Family allowed Gan to stay as a guest; they appreciated his company. This was especially so when they saw Allura's new Pokemon. Allura was happier with these Pokemon, they were even quite talented when they evaluated them—especially Smoochum.

Allura got involved in Gan's training with her Clefairy, who she felt needed to learn and train. Gan checked her Clefairy and found that it now had a 3-star rating now!

Clefairy immediately recognized Gan, smiling upon seeing him. He greeted her and said that she was in good hands now.

Gan had small scrimmages with Allura, who was slowly starting to learn. Gan, himself wasn't an expert, but he had a knack for battles.

Days went by and Gan found out that Conway had been on a business trip this whole time. This was why he didn't see him, and Natalie was handling other affairs.

And just like that—since the time Gan had spent in the Roseworth residence, three days had gone by. Gan had not heard from Richard personally ever since the battle he had with him.

Gan did hear some things about him and his Pokemon, and that he was still furious about the battle. Also, his Pokemon were still in medical due to the aftermath of the battle. It was a good thing that they would recover with time.

At noon, Gan was visited by Allura's Grandfather at his guest house. The only Pokemon he had summoned were Kadabra, Jolteon, and Machoke.

"Hello, do you mind if I come in and have a chat with you?" Gan opened the door and invited him with a nod.

Gan was leaving tomorrow, at least, he was going to the Auction. Afterward, Gan was going to attempt to leave the city through Viridian forest. They should let him through, at least he hoped they would.

Gan took a seat on the couch while the old man sat across from him on a chair. Kadabra brought over some hot chocolate, which was apparently its favorite drink now.

The old man gazed at Gan's Pokemon in the surroundings and said: "Impressive, young friend, you have quite the line to challenge the League. So, I'll get straight to the point on why I'm here in the first place."

Gan was too confused to even speak, so he just listed with a facade of interest.

"My Granddaughter has been happier these days, and I owe that completely to you." The old man sipped some hot chocolate and said.

"Oh, it was just an order of reciprocity. We made a deal and both sides benefited greatly from it." Gan felt like he benefitted the most, but this was also how Allura felt so it was alright in the end.

"All in all, I'm still thankful for what you've done. To show my gratitude, I have a proposition for you, an opportunity."

"Opportunity?" What little interest Gan had was now gone, he only had one goal in mind. Well, at the very least, he had a plan for himself in the future and he didn't want to change it for anything.

"Yes, because of Team Rocket's criminal activities, they're now forming three new teams to keep order in Kanto. If these 3 teams are successful in their means, they plan to spread to other regions."

"Three teams are being formed to deal with Team Rocket?" Gan looked stunned, but he was a bit worried at the thought.

"Yes, we have three teams forming, but I'm unsure about the names. I was looking to recommend you to one of the teams if you're interested." The old man smiled and stared into Gan's eyes.

"Uh, I'm sorry but I'm not interested. I plan to leave the city tomorrow and continue my journey to defeat the Gym Leaders and the Elite 4." Gan refused right away, he already had his goals set.

"Hmm, I understand. Remember, you can always come and talk to me if you change your mind. By the way, my name is Lauren Zirmen." Lauren sighed slightly at Gan's refusal but he didn't press him about it.

"I have some matters to attend to—thank you for your time and honest answer." Lauren slowly stood up and shook Gan's hand.

"Thank you for the suggestion and goodwill, I won't forget it." Gan smiled. If he wasn't a part of Team Rocket, he wouldn't have minded joining. He didn't feel like taking on too many identities, it was too taxing on him.

'We'll see, if you become the Champion or an Elite 4 member one day, you'll have to accept some tasks no matter what.' Lauren smiled and thought to himself, this could also be considered a test to Gan in his mind.

Once Lauren left, Gan frowned. Things would get harder with newly created teams designed to take down Team Rocket.

"Who approved of this? Was it Oak?" Gan was stunned, this old man wouldn't let it go at all. He understood, the losses he endured were heavy.

Ten minutes later, the void in his Void Space shook. Gan smiled because he knew what this meant. He quickly went to the bathroom and pulled the satellite phone out of the Void Space.

Beep!

"Warren, it's you." Gan smiled.

"Oh, yeah, I'm ready for whatever. I've already gathered the proper items to do what needs to be done. I'm currently on my way back to Pewter city to set everything up for the heist, hehe!"

"This is good, but I have a situation in Viridian city right now—have you heard?" Gan couldn't exactly leave if he wanted to.

"I heard about that fiasco, some guy robbed Prof. Oak and caused a large fuss. They're trying to figure out who it is, but this could be a conspiracy altogether." How could he have not heard about it; this news was everywhere.

"Well, I'm in Viridian so I can't leave so easily, but I'll figure out something. Once I get into Pewter City, I'll give you a call. I'll update you tomorrow about the situation."

"Alright. Be careful, the authorities are on this case. The Prof Oak fella has a large social circle, so more people are hopping on the case. I really can't wait to get my hands on that Pokemon Aerodactyl!"

Gan gave him his assurance about everything and hung up.

"Tomorrow is the big day." With a sigh, Gan sat on the toilet seat in deep thought.
