23 The Third Dungeon

Once we arrived at the dungeon I studied it for a minute before we entered. The sign at the top of the arc this time said '0141-1' under a picture of a scarab.

[You have gained an achievement!

You have entered three dungeons. This completes all prerequisites for the {Amateur Dungeoneer} badge, it is awarded. As a reward you will be gifted 1x lvl 10 item box, 500 EXP and 1000 vis (you may except rewards in the mail menu)]

We entered the dungeon and were immediately hit with an overwhelming smell and a vivid wave of heat. The sound of scuttling immediately followed the smell and we entered battle instantly.

Our opponents were large insects crawling very quickly over the floor of the dungeon. A giant wave of fire suddenly erupted and engulfed the wave of bugs, burning them to a crisp.

I turned around to see Coles outstretched hand still flickering with flames. Cole did not like bugs, he had a phobia in fact.

We used to tease him about it until he got a jar of spiders and unleashed them in the room while he ran away, closing the door behind him. Ever since then we did no more pranks on each other.

Coles eyes were wide with fright when he saw the bugs, however he immediately composed himself and took the look off of his face.

It only took us around 1 hour to get to the boss room this time, and I only used my shadow soldiers once. I wanted to test whether or not they took EXP from us or not.

They killed the bugs and the EXP got split evenly between me and the soldier who killed it. The EXP wasn't shared to everyone else so I decided to stop for now. Lucy also used her skill to copy the Orc Lord, but she couldn't store it anywhere so she dispelled it and carried on fighting her regular way.

Once we entered the boss room the message popped up.

[You have entered the room of the Insect Princess. She will devour all who enter and use their bodies as nourishment for her young]

The Insect Princess was quite large, she was a giant, squishy looking larva who was forever excreting slimy little scarabs who would instantly run at us.

We fought with the insect queen for around 40 minutes, the longest fight yet. We were forced to fight for so long due to the relentless production of offspring, for a while we couldn't even get close to her. Then when her health hit 20% she started spawning larger insects.

Me, Oscar and Mike held them off whilst the mages relentlessly fired off spells. This eventually resulted in her death.

After she died we still had to kill the remaining offspring so by the time we got to the boss loot we had to quickly open the boxes and shove the loot into our inventories before we were teleported back.

Once we reached the steel factory, the only one there was the subordinate that had come with us, as well as the two guards at either side of the portal.

We all took out our items to appraise them as we didn't have time to when we were inside.

[Kobold Axe - Uncommon - used by the Kobold race to conquer enemies and raise havok - ATK + 300 - Durability : 60/60]

It was pretty crap but at least I finally got something other than an item. I appraised the next one,

[Nordic-steel Greaves - Uncommon - Forged by the Dwarves of the North in a furnace of Dragon Fire - AGI +4 - Durability : 60/60]

I equipped them as I didn't have any leg gear as of yet. There was no need to appraise the next item as it was the shell of one of the beetles that we had been fighting, a trash drop. So I appraised the last item to see that it was pretty good,

[Aurora's Light Barrier - Rarity : 7 - Item Type : Shield - Made by the great witch Aurora to protect the kingdom of Harovia from evil attackers - Used to keep out attackers that have malice in their hearts - Placed in Faction Territories]

It was pretty great, a lot like the gate that I saw in the item shop before.

We walked out from the steel factory with the subordinate, who I learned was named Lee, and we drove back to our apartment block first. I took the Facrion territory items from everyone and went inside. "I want to come too!" said Lucy from behind me whilst rushing up and giving me a large smile. "Okay sure." I replied before we headed inside.

We went all the way to the top floor of the block which was were the maintenance manager usually lived, but he took off as soon as this all started so it was free for use.

We emptied our inventories on one side of the room then began moving all of the stuff out side. I put my shadow soldiers to work and moved all of the stuff in about ten minutes.

The result was two large rooms with about a kilometer of floor space not including the various utilities place up here.

We then began to place the Faction Territory items on the ground and walls.

We put the Cornucopia on a large wooden table in one corner of the front room, it was quite large and majestic looking. Once I placed it I got another message,

[You have gained an achievement!

You have placed your first item. This completes all prerequisites for the {Novice Faction Boss} badge, it is awarded. As a reward you will be gifted 1x lvl 10 item box, 500 EXP and 1000 vis (you may except rewards in the mail menu)]

I was glad that I got another achievement, I left the rewards for now and continued to place the Faction items.

We placed the Light Barrier and the Bangu on the furthest wall from the door in the second room. These needed to be activated with mana first and lasted for 24 hours each so I activated the light barrier and left the Bangu alone. I got another achievement,

[You have gained an achievement!

You have placed your third item. This completes all prerequisites for the {Amateur Faction Boss} badge, it is awarded. As a reward you will be gifted 1x lvl 10 item box, 500 EXP and 1000 vis (you may except rewards in the mail menu)]

I carried on placing the items. I placed the forge on one corner of the second room and I placed the giant hour glass in the adjacent corner.

As soon as the hourglass was placed the sand started dripping. A large timer popped up in front of the our glass along with a message,

[126:32:28]

[The next big event is :Tournament(1)]

I looked at the large timer for a minute before walking over to the large bed that belonged to the manager. The room was very nice, not as nice as the one downstairs but it was 4 times as big. I decided to live up here instead of downstairs so I moved my things up here.
