Several kilometers from the outskirts of Perugia City lay sprawling swamplands.
The air here was stained yellow by the plague, with live fungi coating the bark of trees, their mycelium swaying in the air... Among the bushes, bizarre fungal monsters were a common sight.
However, compared to the monsters composed of fungal clusters,
the swamp was more populated by a type of humanoid creature with deer antler helmets, resembling human shamans.
In the deeper areas, one could find clusters of wooden huts they had constructed.
These shaman priests, carrying peculiar tools, gathered mushroom colonies in the swamp. Through a unique selection method, they identified fungi that met the "standard" and sent them to the deepest parts of the swamp in exchange for the 'Lord's grace'.
At that moment,
a massively built shaman priest, also wearing deer antlers, returned to the swamp from the outside world, running on all fours.
