Leaving the cave, Xue Mo didn't reduce his speed at all but kept running until he was more than several miles away, just as Xue Mo was about to stop, his instincts that came from his bloodlines on of the remaining parts that weren't sealed with his Soul started screaming danger. Instead of slowing down Xue Mo instead of infusing more dark blue energy into his body, Xue Mo's speed increased by twenty-fold; in a few seconds, Xue Mo was already near the core of Endros that houses the Volcano.
After arriving at the Volcano's location, Xue Mo finally reduced his speed. Before Xue Mo can totally stop, a sudden wave of explosions and earthquakes started originating from the cave Xue Mo, and Lu Yao was in.
By the time everything finished, Endros, a territory that has almost the size of two continents, had been reduced by more than half of it.
Lu Yao started with mouth agape at the destruction that ensued from using her experiment; almost an entire continent had been destroyed. Looking at her handiwork, Lu Yao mused a thought, 'at least we now know just how powerful of an attack we can make.'
Although she failed Lu Yao wasn't disheartened and instead was even more determined, the result of a failed experiment gave her an idea to make some powerful life-saving items. Even if it couldn't save them, it can be an excellent way to suicide if something happened to them, like being forced upon by a stronger entity.
Although Lu Yao didn't know of a stronger entity or a more powerful attack that can destroy more than a continent than the one that was unleashed now, Lu Yao wasn't naïve to think she and Xue Mo are the strongest existences ever.
There are the groups in the high-grade world; she didn't know just how strong they are after all high-grade worlds can birth entities like her father and mother. If she has the power to destroy continents when combining her Chaos and Mana energies, then what would those high leveled people be able to do?
Lu Yao cleared her thoughts, the shock still clear on her face, she turned to look at Xue Mo, "Is this truly the power that I could unleash…." Lu Yao started having hope, hope that she will meet her father, hope to meet her grandparents, and hope for a brighter future for Xue Mo and herself.
Although Lu Yao never had the doubt or the hesitation to stop advancing forward, to try to level up, to get stronger. But she was still weak; even after years, Lu Yao was never strong enough to cause destruction as big as the one she had made now.
With power, Lu Yao started feeling something she had never felt before. Power. Lu Yao felt how real power tastes like, and she wanted it, she wanted more power. The path of Cultivation was never for the weak-willed. Only the ambitious, the ones who yearn for improvement and to be a greater existence, that's what a true Cultivator's qualities are. Lu Yao, since the time Xue Mo met her, always had the drive for improvement, greed for power and hope, the strength to free her father. Lu Yao had the qualities a cultivator should have to reach the top.
But in this world with stats and systems, the power that someone can have is limited by the stats and the magic they have. Although Lu Yao had great magic, talent, and drive, she couldn't go far. Not that Lu Yao was lacking, but that Lu Yao lived and was like everyone else, ignorant.
The system was faulty. It can give stats, but it can also take them. With such power behind it, the powers of this world are limited.
"This is just the beginning." Lu Yao suddenly heard Xue Mo mutter while looking at the result of the explosion.
"Let's go." Lu Yao suddenly said to Xue Mo. The power that she had seen. She wants more of it. To become the strongest is a long and exhausting road to tread on, but Lu Yao and Xue Mo aren't good people who will just go through the straight and bright path.
Anything in their way will become fuel for their future Cultivation and power, and for those who get in the way, a torture session will be their lightest way of going out.
