Xue Mo and Lu Yao made their way towards Teacher Dio's place. Everywhere they went, all eyes were on them, unlike last time when everyone ignored him, and only a select few were able to recognize him.

After The Dean, Vice Dean and Teacher Dio visited Xue Mo's house last time, news of this spread out causing an uproar in the entire Battle Mage Academy, after all, it is a big deal for even one of them to go and visit a student not to mention all three.

After learning of the student's identity, they became more careful and dared not to do anything to him. Being the center of attention didn't please Xue Mo one bit, he likes his quiet life with Lu Yao, and he doesn't want to see it ruined.

Contrary to his expectations, the students didn't approach him at all and just looked at him from afar. The Male kids looked at him with eyes filled with jealousy and hatred, for some reason that baffled Xue Mo, the female's eyes were even more intense. As someone with the identity of being Teacher Dio���s personal student, the females wanted to approach him and try to gain his attention. Still, there was another look in their eyes. It was a look Xue Mo was used to, after having seen it for thousands of years.

That look was fear, there was fear in their eyes, but the weirdest part that he noticed through his observation is that it wasn't directed at him, the fear was as if they dared not to approach him unless they wanted to die.

Xue Mo had several theories why that is, and Lu Yao wasn't a stupid person as she lived her life in constant danger, and with the need to grow up fast, mentally, physically, and in every other aspect, it was a life that tested her to the limit.

Being someone who lived for a long time, Lu Yao was also good at reading emotions and facial expressions of people like the back of her hand. Lu Yao also hadn't missed the looks Xue Mo was receiving from both the males and females, but what surprised him was that under those eyes that lusted for Xue Mo and his potential was a fear, a fear that if they dared to get close to him, they would face immense trouble.

These actions sparked a jolt in Lu Yao's heart. As she met many girls like these before, and all of them tried to throw themselves at any man with good enough potential in her previous world, not minding anything. And even men that were in relationships weren't spared, they didn't care about their reputation if they can be the man they desire.

For those types of people to be this afraid, it means someone has warned them and spread the word, 'It is probably that Dio, and whatever bitch he is preparing to try and ensnare and seduce Mo with later on.' Lu Yao spat coldly in her mind after figuring out the reason.

"Father, are you sure, Xue Mo will like me? What if he doesn't what will we do then?" A girl that looked around the age of sixteen to seventeen said softly while looking at an old man.

"Mey, my darling daughter, don't worry, Xue Mo will like you, and even if he doesn't, he will eventually have to take you as his wife, even if Xue Mo was unwilling, he could not do anything." The old man Dio told his daughter, sinisterly.

As if she is used to it, the girl laughed delicately while conversing with Teacher Dio more. Her name was Mey, and she was the only relative that Dio still has alive.

She is usually outside adventuring and exploring the Ash Expanse, but one day, she got a letter from her father, telling her to come back, as he found someone with enough potential to be with her.

Reading what was written, Mey was curious about the candidate her father chose, so she came back to the Battle Mage Academy to see him.

It took Mey more than half a year to get back, and the day she arrived was yesterday night. Not to attract attention or let people know that she is back, she chose to enter at night, and hide in her father's house and hear what he has to say.

After learning that the guy her father chose was a man with both Darkness and Blood affinity, she was moved, for her father to find such a person with great potential, to be her future partner and husband greatly pleased her, and she wanted to meet him too.

But her father said that this man is usually busy and would never leave his house, the last time he stayed cooped up for more than six months, so she couldn't arrange a meeting where she accidentally bumped into him.

She decided to wait and see what her father had planned. After hearing that, he will take her to meet him tomorrow using the 'Master was worried and wanted to check up on you and see how you are doing' move. At the same time introducing his daughter to his plan, Mey was enthralled with her father's ingenious mind, thinking that it would definitely work.

While the father and daughter were happily conversing, planning and catching up, they suddenly heard the front door being knocked.

Curious to see who wants to see him, Teacher Dio stood up to check and see who wants him and what do they want.

Before he can stand up fully, his daughter, Mey, stood up before him and waved for him to sit down while saying, "Father, you are a great Teacher and the strongest person in the Ash Expanse. If you go and meet everyone that comes to see you, you will never stop receiving guests, and your reputation will not be that of the legendary Master Dio, that no one is supposed to be able to see and talk to without sufficient background." Moved by how much his daughter thought about him and his reputation, Teacher Dio sat down.

Although he never cared about things such as background and where people came from, whether rich or poor, only talent and potential are what matters as that's what one would need to get stronger. His daughter always had some kind of complex where she saw herself above everyone else, because of his strength. Even when he tried to educate her, the people she hung up with were influencing her and making her see herself as some kind of great existence just because she has Teacher Dio as a father.

Mey made her way to the door to see who dared disturb her time with her father.
