7 Gaining Control

'I should start exercising with simple workouts that pump some blood and get used to this body. It seems me trying to merge every beneficial racial aspect has rendered the balancing factor an issue in the early stages.' Xue Mo thought as he started brooding on which exercise will help him gain the best control over his new-found body.

He chose to go with the Tyrant Heavenly Demon Mystics.

It was a martial art he developed in his previous life, one that anyone could train in. He comprehended it while fighting The Duke Of Skulls.

The latter was known to have the most stringent martial techniques concerning training the body.

After killing him and taking his Immortal Golden Body Scripture, he studied it intently. With the use of some other Body type Martial Arts, the Tyrant Heavenly Demon Mystics was derived.

He hypothesized that it could change his body into the legendary Heavenly Demon physique.

This would give him the strength to destroy a continent at its weakest and a near undying body that would let him live as long as his soul was safe.

It has an additional part that will primarily provide the practitioner with perfect body control and also reinforce the soul if it is trained to the highest level.

Unfortunately, he reached the apex of Divine Hell Universe and opted to find the way to a higher realm before training in it.

He died after finding the key out that would take him out of the realm and became a wandering soul.

However, now that he has a new body with infinite potential, he can train in Tyrant Heavenly Demon Mystics and maybe even take it further than he thought possible.

He got into the stance described in Tyrant Heavenly Demon Mystics, ready to start training it.

First, to gain a fundamental mastery or at least some simple body control over his new form. He needs to train because he needs a more hardened body for unknown and unpredictable situations lest he ends up dead again like in his past life. His limitations can also be overcome the mightier his body became.

After sorting what to do again, Xue Mo took the first stance needed to train in Tyrant Heavenly Demon Mystics. Ordinarily, he would have to use Arch energy and let it permeate his body entirely before starting to practice it.

However, he couldn't do that anymore as Arch energy was an energy that could only be found in the Divine Hell Universe, to his knowledge, that is, there might be other places he didn't know about.

After leaving the Divine Hell Universe and having his soul purified and merged with Primordial Origin, he lost any remnants of Arch energy.

Luckily for him, he found that he could supplement it with his new and superior Shadow Soul pressure.

Still, the problem he faced now was that he could only make small constructs with it. He also didn't have enough control over it to let it permeate into his body entirely.

Thinking to that end, he could only use Tyrant Heavenly Demon Mystics to gain better body control and strengthen the body the way mortals do. Until he finds another source of energy other than Arch energy or gets better control over Shadow Soul pressure, but doing that will take too much time, and at the moment, his time is strained.

He doesn't have a lot of time left after all he is in space, and even with his new body, his cultivation was lost so he can't stay there for much longer.

Ultimately, without sufficient cultivation, he would die in this place.

The only reason he is even alive is that when he arrived, he was only a soul.

Souls don't need to breathe to live, but now he has a body, he will need to breathe again to live. He is still alive now because the new body he made can survive without the need to breathe for a limited amount of time.

The energy that remained after constructing the body let him live till now. But this won't last for much longer.

He would need to leave this supposedly barren place and find a habitable planet with air in it so he can stay alive. He, at maximum, could stay here for another six months.

The Tyrant Heavenly Demon Mystics contains ten stances, where each position gives the body certain benefits.

Some of these stances are Bovine Monkey Learns To Hit, Fin Anaconda learns to swim, Body, Muscle as Tough as Gold, Heavenly Blood exchange, Abyss Dragon Meridians, Undying Immortal Body...

The stance Xue Mo decided to start with was the first stance, Bovine Monkey Learns To Hit.

He began to take the horse stance, clutching his fists as he launched fist techniques with some leg techniques the way Bovine Monkey Learns To Hit describes, as he recalled from his memory.

After doing that for a couple of hours, he was satisfied seeing all the sweat rolling down his body. He decided to try the next position, next as to keep on with the momentum.

He took the second stance, which was Fin Anaconda learns to swim. This stance allows the body to get as flexible as an anaconda. It enables the whole body to have more capacity for storing air, especially the lungs. What this technique also gives, the ability to absorb more energy into the body.

Just like that, Xue Mo kept at it, interchanging between the first two techniques, but after several long hours of repetition, Xue Mo decided to add another stance to the mix.

When he took the third stance, he noticed his body had become too weak and even started secreting blood from his orifices.

Although this spelled danger, he would usually ignore it, as the pain someone had gone through to reach the level he had achieved in his past life would have killed an average person a hundred times over. Without an unwavering will and a clear mind, someone wouldn't have the resolve to continue.

However, this time, he didn't continue as the body he created was still new and not tempered enough, and he didn't want to risk getting it damaged permanently due to rashness. Therefore, he stopped practicing and took a break to let his body cool down.

Xue Mo sighed as he started considering what to do. Should he continue and risk injuring his body or take things gradually, step by step?

"This body of mine even after a month being in it, is still too fragile. I should refrain from stressing it too much lest I gain some hidden injuries by mistake."

"I should be glad that it could even last two stances with the state it is in. Maybe I should bide my time when I start training it again." Xue Mo nodded and decided only to do two stances for now and gradually add the other postures as he improved his body's condition. That way, he will not lose any benefit and have a better foundation in the long run.

After all, it is better to have a firmer foundation than to rush things and gain hidden injuries that would delay future progress.

With the body he created, his foundations shall never get destroyed. Coupled with a firm foundation gained through hard work and not haste, he will have a far brighter future.

While in the middle of resting, Xue Mo had decided to look around the cave he was in when he suddenly caught a glimpse of a fossilized looking rock, not that far away from the cave's entrance.

Xue Mo got curious about the undulations on the rock that seemed to have a sort of a humanoid shape that got his interest.

Him being an old monster that has lived hundreds of thousands of years, came with an advantage of wisdom, cunningness, broad-mindedness, and other valuable experiences that he attained through countless life and death encounters.

He decided to check what the unusual looking rock is, as it might be some treasure, and if not it could at least be something that he cannot use, even if it was just an ordinary rock with a weird shape, he wouldn't lose anything from examining it out.
