Daddy Jason

Jason wished he could stay with Celinda and Selina longer, but there was an important meeting he must attend this morning. After joking around with them, he went back to his room, changed to business attire and bid them goodbye. Before leaving, he reminded Selina about telling him her whereabouts even if Celinda is with her.

After repeating many words that even Celinda started rubbing her ears, he left for work. Seeing his car driving away from the villa, Celinda sighed in relief. Ever since the gang incident occurred, she's never been herself. Finally, after crying everything to Selina and having sufficient rest, her energy was fully restored.

Perhaps all along, she only needed someone to tell her it was alright to cry and that she wasn't alone. Maybe the love she felt for Roger was just her low esteem, looking for a type of reliance besides family. Being a victim of an unfortunate event wasn't the scariest thought. The most appalling thoughts were based on the victim's mindset.

After listening to Selina's words last night, she could at last have a good night sleep without heaviness on her chest. For once, she didn't have to keep the incident trapped in her mind. Even if it was just a night, she was grateful to have someone listen to her troubles.

When Celinda turned around, she met Selina's amiable smile. Holding her arm, Celinda said. "It's been a while since I've gone shopping. If you're not busy today, do you mind accompanying me?"

Originally, Selina wanted to ask Jason about the upcoming projects since he hasn't informed her about the descriptions for the paintings. When she last checked her bank account, he had already transferred the money payment to her. If she received the money, she must make some progress or it'll be considered scamming him.

Since she has nothing much going on, she decided to go shop with her. Maybe she could stop by Jason's office with Celinda later to ask him about the project. "Sure, I'll go. But didn't you leave with only your car keys?"

A mischievous smile appeared on her smile as she turned around to meet Selina's eyes. Putting her arm around Selina's shoulder, she said. "But I have you! You can help me pay first and I'll have my brother return the money to you later. Right?"

Selina nodded, "That's true. Okay, then let's go. I should have enough money to cover your expenses."

"Pffft, you actually believed me? Sheesh. If you tell anyone these words, they'll take advantage of you and never pay you back. You'll be at a loss. As for money, I have my black card activated. Last night, my old bank cards have been deactivated so Roger cannot use it anymore. My brother's assistant stopped by to give me my new card."

Celinda didn't know what to say to her naive future sister-in-law. 'Oh, wells. I just have to stick close to her and not let anyone scam her money. Hehe~ Besides, there are lots we could do together.' She secretly said to herself while dragging Selina upstairs.

Before leaving to the mall, Celinda informed Jason about where they were going. Jason told them that the driver was ready to drive them to their destination. Since his sister had just recovered, he did not want her to tire herself out. In addition, her car needed a wash before she could use it again. Therefore, there was no way she could have driven.

Although the girls only met yesterday night, they somehow chattered excitedly over literally anything. They jumped from one topic to another without realizing how random their discussions were. Stopping in front of a red light, the driver smiled when he heard parts of their conversation.

He has been the Hui family's driver since the master and mistress married. Since Jason and Celinda were young, he was their chauffeur. Over time, he treated them as his own children. In recent years, Celinda stopped smiling as much, so he was relieved to see her active today.

The car ride was around half an hour including traffic. By the time they've arrived, the girls were still laughing as they shared stories about Jason. After getting out of the car, the two of them entered the mall. The first destination they agreed to visit was the milk tea store.

On their way to the mall, Celinda mentioned a milk tea store in the mall with incredibly chewy Boba and mild tasting tea. Listening to the way she described it, Selina's lips spread to a cheery smile because she was also a milk tea fan! Both of them were fans of desserts and sweet beverages.

Taking a menu from the Boba store, they ended up choosing two different flavors they haven't tried before so they could share it. After getting their drinks, the girls walked in linked arms and roamed through different clothes stores to see if there were any sales going on.

Once they came across a lingerie store, Celinda pulled Selina inside to check out the newest collections. When Selina first entered, her cheeks were a bit flushed. As soon as she looked around, many styles of lingerie entered her eyes. The more she walked around, the heavier her shopping bag became.

Whenever they came across pieces that may suit the other, they would add it to the other's shopping cart. At the end, they went straight to the counter after checking the sizes. Celinda had never been happier because she never had many friends who shared similarities with her. Therefore, she always shopped alone or with her mother. Still, it felt different compared to shopping with a friend.

After making a few more purchases, Selina stopped at an electronic store where she saw an automatic robot vacuum cleaner on display.

"Look. Look! Isn't this pink one with cat ears cute? It has paws that comes out to scrub the floor too! So cute!!" Selina pointed.

Celinda rubbed her chin and said, "But this one is cute too. There's a blue whale one over there! When did technology get this advanced? Or was I just living under a rock for these years? Aiya! Look at this one!!!! It's a teddy bear!!"

As they discussed about the adorable designs, the owner started speaking about the various functions the small robots could perform. Celinda joked around and asked if the owner had any robots used for cooking; giving everyone a good laugh.

After overcoming the difficulties of making a decision, Celinda bought one while Selina bought two mini robot vacuum cleaners. Celinda ended up getting the blue whale one with a small tail for the living room. Meanwhile, Selina couldn't choose between the pink and baby blue kitten one. At the end, she bought one for her room and the other for Jason's room.

Suddenly, Celinda had an idea and chuckled. "Selina, since you bought these two products, then you are considered its owner. Right?"

Selina nodded, "So?"

"So, you are the mother of these two kitten robots." She smiled teasingly.

Selina continued to nod with a questioning expression. "Uh huh."

"Then...would my brother be considered the kitten robot's father? He is the owner of the villa. I'll be the aunt!" Celinda clapped and pointed at the shopping bag.

"Pfft, if you say so." Selina couldn't help but laugh at her friend's crazy ideas sometimes. Still, it seemed like a pretty cute idea.

"Then, let's take a selfie with them in our hands and send it to my brother! Congratulate him on being promoted to being a dad hahahaha!" Selina cooperated with her and posed in the picture.

Jason took a look at the notification screen where his sister had sent a photo. The caption of the photo was " Bro, this child is calling you daddy. Selina thinks this kid is yours."

He raised his palm to halt the meeting. Taking his phone anxiously from the table, he viewed the photo and went speechless.

As soon as Celinda saw the read message for the previous text, she sent him another one. "Today, we bought mini robot vacuum cleaners! Since Selina bought one for her room and another for yours....She is mommy Selina. Obviously, you are daddy Jason! Hahaha! Congrats Bro! You've been promoted!"

His heart nearly stopped beating when he saw her message about him having some random child claiming him as the father. Although he had never been in a relationship before, he was still afraid Selina would misunderstand him. Therefore, his heart was on dropping point when he read her message with a hidden photo.

Sighing, he quickly texted a response. " Dinner will be your favorite eggplant and beef. [smile emoticon] "

Upon reading his text, Celinda's face froze. "I played too much with fire...I even burned myself.. Damn.."

"What's wrong?" Selina noticed the twitch on her face as she looked at her screen.

"Hahaha, nothing! What do you think of having Sushi for tonight?" She blinked innocently at Selina.

"Oh, sure! I haven't had sushi in a while!!" Selina missed eating the special rolls on the menu.

Celinda smiled, "Yay! Let me text my brother about it then. Hehehe"

Celinda texted, "Oh? But Selina says she wants sushi."

Jason bit his lips and texted his reply the next minute. "Fine. You're lucky this time."

Celinda looked up again with a bright smile on her face. "Ahhhh, you're my lucky star~ Let's grab sushi! My brother's treat!!!"
