Yanyan pouted, "Nothing?"

"It's not important. Anyway, have you finished your piano lessons?" Ye Shuxin asked, smiling at her.

"Yes! Yanyan can spend more time with mommy now!" She smiled happily at her as she climbed up the sofa and gave her a hug.

Ye Shuxin patted her head, "You played the piano really well you know. I'm so proud to have an amazing daughter like you."

Yanyan's heart welled up when she heard her compliment. She has never received such a compliment when it came to her mother since she couldn't even remember her mother, she was too young to remember after all.

"Mommy..." She rested her head on her mother's breasts.

Ye Shuxin stared at the little girl, hugging her. She could see how much the kid longed for a mother and she felt bad about it.

She hugged her back and stroked her hair, "Yanyan, do you want to go out today?"

"Where will we go, mommy?"

"Let's see..." She paused to think. "Let's go to a place where your daddy hasn't brought you yet. Did he bring you to the amusement park already?"

Yanyan shook her head, "Daddy is always busy..."

She has always stayed at home and was being homeschooled by the teachers that Jin Mingze hired.

Ye Shuxin frowned a bit, "So... are you saying that he has never brought you out?"

"The young miss is not allowed to go outside." Haofan, the butler who was assigned to watch over Yanyan, was standing quietly in the room. If he didn't speak out, Ye Shuxin would have never noticed that there was actually another person in the room.

"Daddy said that it's dangerous outside."

Ever since Chen Rui died, Jin Mingze has never brought his daughter outside. He ordered the servants in the house not to bring her outside as well.

"You're missing out on a lot of things!" She didn't approve of how Jin Mingze was being so strict with his daughter. He was taking away her childhood from her.

Kids her age should discover things, play, and make friends with other kids!

"I'll be with her." Ye Shuxin turned to Haofan, "And you can also come with us."

"I'm sorry, madam. The master's words are absolute."

"It's okay mommy..."

Yanyan looked like a sulking pup and because of that, Ye Shuxin made up her mind to bring her out of the place.

"It's not okay." She gently touched Yanyan's soft cheek and gave her a grin, "Today, we'll be going to the Aquarium park!"

The girl's face brightened and her eyes sparkled in delight at her mother's words, "Really?!"

"But madam-"

"Yanyan, why don't you go to your room and dress up?" Ye Shuxin asked, interrupting Haofan.

"Okay, mommy!" She leaned and kissed her cheek before she jumped off the sofa and excitedly rushed to her room to change her clothes.

The moment Yanyan left, Ye Shuxin stood up and turned her sharp gaze to Haofan. She grabbed his collar and pulled him to her, "You are not going to report this to Jin Mingze, understand?"

He calmly gazed down at her, "Master's words are absolute." He repeated. "I'm afraid I have to stop you from taking the young miss outside."

Ye Shuxin snickered, "How are you going to stop me? By locking me away?"

"I apologize for my rudeness but yes, if I have to."

She glared at his calm face. She knew that she was at a disadvantage, especially when he is a man. Aside from that, Jin Mingze has already told her that she may be married to him but that didn't mean that she was given authority in the house.

"If you are so worried about Yanyan, then why don't you come with us?" She tried to convince him as she released his collar.

"I am loyal to my master."

"Riiiight." She crossed her arms. She sighed in defeat. "I guess I have to ask my husband's permission in the end huh?"
