To be honest, the part about erasing MC "attachment" to the past means literally deleting all his emotions from the memories. It's literally destroying a personality. Feeling no emotions when viewing past doesn't lead to englightement. Englightment is about distancing yourself from overwhelming beign controlled by the past, not literally deleting emotions. ANd it's emotions that shape our personality. Therefore MC when reborn should be like a kid again tbh ;D
