Wtf??? that portal mechanism is trash, whoever create that must be a failure of a scientist, why make the destination random and not point to point teleportation... It would have been more believable if the reason why they're standed ia the lack of energy to take them back, and there are more than just one portal to come out from so they will be separated.
well keep in mind. the portals are reverse engineered from alien tech. the humans do not fully understand how to utilize them and know very little on the actuality of them. all they know is how to replicate them. look at it like this. you take a test. tou decide not to study for it. it is asking questions you do not understand. so you copy the answers from a cheat sheet. does that mean you know how to come up with the answer on your own? no, you just replicate what you saw. just like with the portals.

I really like this story. To bad it seems to be going the way of a lot of the other good stories on this crap site and moving more and more to a style to maximize the number of chapters at the cost of the writing of the book. The authors all see that if they post more chapters they can get more of the credits for ranking and slowly the chapters start getting shorter and now it’s turning into not even half of the story of a chapter should be.
