Chapter 49: The Final Cleanup

Seeing the patrolling arcane guard about to turn around, Li Yao hastily pulled a peculiar rope from his backpack. It was dotted with a dead knot at regular intervals.

He swiftly tied the rope around a stone column resembling a statue, promptly fetching out a second, and then a third. Only when the third line of rope ladder was dangling from the column did Li Yao swiftly return to the second dome above via the rope bridge linking the second dome to the third platform.

At this very moment, the patrolling elite were almost on the perimeter.

Li Yao also retreated, flying back a good forty yards, then abruptly turned around.
