Ch.21 A journey worth while

"Let's go" I said in a flat tone. "Let's go to the City in the Sky." Anyira looked at me and smiled.

Soon we reached the bay. The crystal blue water glistened from the morning sun. I drew in a breath of frest air, and looked over at Anyira who was looking toward the sky.

"Are you ready?" I asked.

She shook her head yes. I let my wings come open, picked her up and took off. It felt good to stretch them again, the feeling of the cool ocean wind blowing through them. We were soon passing the Island of Shadows and the feeling of ambition started to take over, I finally felt confident enough to save everyone.

I began to flap my wings faster as we neared the Island of the Skies.

"Careful! There is a wind that might knock you back!" Anyira said suddenly.

I slowed up flapping my wings harder to keep us both out of the water.

"How do you suppose we get in there?" I asked.

"It was said that only people with the blood of the Skies could enter" Anyira said quickly.

"Maybe you will be able to enter."

I flapped forward toward the island and began to feel a strong wind push at my sides

"Your doing it!" Anyira said cheerfully.

Finally we landed on the island only to find out things would get worse...
