An Engagement?!

Yiyi's mouth had fallen open. She was still recovering from the nausea that assaulted her when the system threatened her. Luckily she was still alone in the changing room, so no one saw her wide-eyed and gaping appearance. She closed her mouth, and tried to regain some of the elegant aura she had two minutes ago. Her eyes kept reading the first objective she had received over and over again in confusion, !Meet Your Fiance! When she finally processed that it wasn't going to change the bewildered girl said, "Eh? How am I supposed to meet someone that doesn't exist?" [Ahh why the hell did I get stuck with this idiot..] The system rudely responded to Yiyi's idiotic comment. "... Wait what??" She still didn't get it. [... Where are we? Why are we here? Dear host~?] "Um a dress boutique, and to get a dress for the weekend family thing, that I'm supposed to attend." Yiyi answered with a prideful smile on. With a smug look on her face she had started to put on the first dress which was white with hints of yellow, it wasn't her style at all. When she had mostly gotten the dress on the system who had been watching the dumb-ass dress herself said while clicking his tongue, [Haa- I really can't deal with this girl] Yiyi finished getting into the first dress, looked in the mirror then started changing into the next one when- [It's to announce your engagement] Yiyi who was half ignoring him froze up. She was dense, and easily confused about vague things, but she wasn't completely stupid. While her brain was trying to run through hypothetical situations, she called out, "Who is it then?" [Why should I know, and even if I did, why would I tell you] Yiyi was once again thrown through a loop, went into autopilot, and just started trying on the next dress.

Madam Sheng and the tailor patiently waited outside the changing room. They had run out of source material to talk about so they quietly waited for Yiyi, and after a short bit she had come back out in the outfit she had worn into the store. The madam looked upset, but not surprised, this is what usually happened when she took her daughter shopping. However recently she had thought it might've been different, the madam wanted her cute child to play dress up like she did when the both of them were much younger. In a voice that somewhat hid her sulk the madam said, "Did you pick a dress Yiyi?" The youthful girl nodded her head mindlessly. The two guards that had been dismissed had already regrouped and were waiting outside of the shop. Madam Sheng paid for the dress, and the group of six headed back to where they had entered from. The dress shop was left behind, as the tailor looked towards the woman behind the counter with tearful eyes... Looks like they didn't get to see the dress on her.

Yiyi was completely drained from the overload of information the system had given her to process. The information itself wasn't much to process, but Yiyi was trying to run every name she remembered from the book, and without the original Yiyi's memories, she was really out of luck, the only people she could think of from the book were the heroine, and the scumbag. She tried so hard to think of anything that would give her an idea, but since she couldn't remember a Sheng Yiyi mentioned in the book she was out of luck. She really believed that if her name was brought up she would have noticed. While Yiyi questioned if there even was a Sheng Yiyi originally, it hit her. She had only the slightest memory of it, but she remembered mention of the Sheng family. Sheng Liang, the original Yiyi's brother was somewhat close to the villain of the story. She hadn't paid attention to anyone around the villain since he was the naturally shy type, and a coward who tried to hurt anyone who got near the heroine. The book wasn't finished, when the present Yiyi was transported, so she wasn't sure what happened to the villain, and his allies by the end of it. Yiyi who had made a promise to protect her new family was a bit nervous about how she could stop the downfall of the villain, but she misleadingly assumed that it would be quite easy.

Since Yiyi had spent the entire car ride back to the Sheng mansion lost in thought, she decided to take a moment to go in and greet her father, and brother. Madam Sheng smiled softly while Yiyi followed her to the mansion's doors. The Madam walked in, and went in search of her husband, and son, with her daughter following closely behind her. As the older woman leisurely walked into the living room, she called out to her husband in a delightful tone, "Honey Yiyi came to visit" The instant that was said the four males that were sitting on furniture stood up and directed their gazes to Yiyi. With a contract in sight on the table, Yiyi's mother had coughed and continued, "Excuse us, I didn't realize we had guests at the moment, I'll make some coffee." She had left Yiyi with the boys... With a quick introduction she gave a formal bow to the guests, and in a charmingly formal voice she said, "Nice to meet you, I am Sheng Yiyi." Before Yiyi could excuse herself, her father had taken her hand, and said in a cheery voice, "Oh Yiyi no need to be so formal, this is a classmate of yours right, no need to hold back!" Mr. Sheng and the man across from him let out a hearty laugh. Yiyi had given a slight nod to the boy who was around her age, and when he nodded in response- [! Ding~ Objective Complete!~]
