32 Chapter 33: 6 Months Later....

The day had finally come when Alexander was going to start his invasion. If anyone was more excited than him, then that would be the elves. Alexander with the help of his ministers had come up with a splendid war plan. Alexander was going to strick hard and fast on the livelines of the magical world and when the magical world would be panicking, Alexander would strike at the non magical world. Alexander already had a number of subjects on the both sides of the world. It would not take much to plunge the world in strife.

Alexander thought about the past months. These past months were pretty hectic for Alexander and his men. There were times that they were nearly exposed but they managed to weed out any suspicions that people may have towards the undercurrents of the world. Many magicals may it be muggleborn, halfblood or pureblood had submitted to Alexander. The entire werewolf population of 1 million has submitted to him after being cured. Alexander also took care of Greyback and his pack. Alexander had found Greyback in Bulgaria.

At first Alexander was only fixated on recruiting muggleborns as his subjects but when he sped up his plans, he also send contracts to all the magicals except the noble houses of the wizarding world. The receiver was given a grace period of 3 days after which the contract would burn itself. Alexander now had 100 million magicals as his subjects. There were a total 140 million magicals in the parts of the world explored by Alexander's men.

The most magical continent was Africa so the amount of muggleborns were also the most there. Around 90 percent of the magicals were muggleborns but they were not that much versatile in magic as they had to continuously fend off attacks from magical animals, they only focussed on wards, fighting spells, potions and some healing spells. They didn't know many exotic fields of magical study as they did not have time to study them. The magicals of African were powerful but the magical animals were more powerful and numerous. Alexander easily conquered the whole continent. The magicals living here were so fed up with the magical animals' attacks that when Alexander showed that he could confine the magical animals in an area regardless of how powerful they are, the magicals there treated him as their saviour and ready to pay anything. Alexander just had to say that he wanted to establish a magical empire and people were lining up to become his subjects. Now, the government would have surely objected to this but Alexander had his men already subjugate the government.

Alexander had claimed the whole continent except Egypt as his kingdom. This was the world where Alexander faced his first challenge. When Alexander was claiming the land, his right was challenged, it was no magical who had challenged him but it was an ancient dragon capable of human speech. He was hundreds of meters tall and wide but he was injured and that was the only reason that Alexander survived. The old dragon didn't tell Alexander his name but Alexander knew that the old dragon wanted to die fighting. The fight between the two lasted for five days. It was a unique learning experience for Alexander. Alexander had tried to attack every part of the old dragon that he could reach but every time the old dragon would throw him away, at first Alexander had thought that the old dragon was playing with him but after few hours, Alexander realised that the old dragon was subtly training him. Alexander then threw everything he had on the dragon and was able to injure the dragon near the heart but lost his hand in exchange. As Alexander was struggling to remain concious after the loss of his arm, the dragon suddenly spewed golden fire at him. The strange fire healed Alexander and made him return to his top condition.

Alexander turned towards the dragon and saw him slowly vanishing in the air. Alexander tried to ask the dragon something but the dragon said in a tired voice, " Let me enjoy this silence, child. How far the mighty has fallen, to be defeated by a child. Hah!!! My ancestors would be rolling in the grave but at least I died before that bastard. Child!! I know that you can peer into the past but don't try to learn about me, I don't want my life to be read like a book, give this old dragon some solitude. For helping me in not dying a slow death and preserving my pride and honor, I will give you something that I managed to acquire from an extremely arrogant fellow. This artifact helps in constructing a separate dimension outside space and time, it cannot be broken by anyone and the size of dimension depends on the power supplied to it. There is only one other artifact like this in this world. Now, go. I want to die in peace."

Alexander gave the ancient dragon, his desired space and stated to examine the artifact. The artifact was a round golden ball whose surface was etched with countless unknown runes and there were also several beautiful gems inlaid on its surface. Alexander claimed it as a part of his kingdom and come to know more about it. This artifact manipulates the laws of space and time to create a separate dimension, the amount of power required was too great but Alexander had an idea to rectify it. This artifact was a sun grade artifact but was damaged. Alexander could not understand the meaning of the runes but he could detect a faint foreign aura which was oddly familiar to him.

Alexander thought hard and realised that it was the king's aura. Alexander became alert as it could be a device used by some king to conquer strong worlds. As this artifact creates a separate dimension which could be considered as a small world like Shangri-La and when people start living in it, the king could come and seal the dimension then start his invasion. If such an artifact is given to a race then only the powerful and rich would be allowed to use it and by sealing the dimension, it would have severe effect on the resisting capability of the world. Alexander was not going to use this artifact but he copied all the runes and the manner in which they were laid and send the diagrams of it to the researchers and deciphers of his kingdom in order to know the meaning and purpose of the runes used. Alexander also send the observations he made by sensing the magic contained in the artifact.

Alexander didn't know the effects of destroying this artifact so he quickly took back his claim from the artifact and stored the artifact in a trunk brimming with all the containment wards he knew. It took him one week to make the trunk. In the meantime, the speed with which the elves were rescuing their species was astonishing. By the end of third month, the number of elven subjects had increased to 20 million elves. The elves had rescued all the elves from all the Gringrots branches. But then a bad news came, the elves could not enter the capital city of goblin race and there were at least 13 goblin strongholds around the world. Out of the 13, seven were surrounding the capital city while the rest were spread across the world. Alexander observed and found that all the 6 strongholds we're spread across the world in such a way that the goblins could easily attack both the magical and non magical world and can also easily defend from attacks. Alexander was not sure if these were the only strongholds. A race like goblins would have one or more last stand outposts as their capital sure as hell was not going to be their last stand point. Goblins are not dumb enough to be like that.

Alexander then had all his officials and scientists to think of a way to inflitrate these strongholds and how to investigate if there were any more or not. Alexander had to postpone his invasion till a solution could be found. Alexander in order to save time, for the first time used the time ability of the king. A king can change the rate of flow of time between his kingdom and the world that he is currently in but it requires massive amount of king's might. Alexander had enough King's might to change the flow of time by 4 times which means that one day here would be 4 days in his kingdom. Alexander could do this for 2 months only. Alexander had also given some other projects to the scientists. Alexander hoped that 8 months would be enough to complete all the projects.

The Elves were very sad and angry at this. Alexander then pointed the attention of the elves towards the elves working under the magicals, vampires, veela, hags, etc. It took elves 3 days to rescue all the elves and the number of elves rescued were 2.5 million. Most of these elves were working at magical schools , ministries, hospitals and stores. Alexander had already ordered the elves at the start to continue the charade of being workers and try to know as much as they can about different countries.

Now, that the full invasion was postponed for unforeseeable future, Alexander turned his attention towards the non magical world and the east. The elves had already rescued all their brethern around the world. Alexander was shocked to know that there was not a single elf in India and China. The Indian magicals were find a similar barrier as the goblins while the Chinese magicals didn't like the elves on a fundamental basis so they didn't employed elves. All their work was done by squibs. The Chinese didn't have the habit of expelling the squibs instead they are employed by their families to do menial chores. Alexander didn't know if this was a good thing or a bad thing.

Alexander then started claiming small parts of land in the non magical world. Alexander had already conquered the whole Africa except Egypt as Egypt was a popular hotspot for both the magicals and non magicals and Alexander didn't want anyone to suspect something. Alexander was told by his new subjects that when he conquers a land, the people present on that land feel as something dangerous is about to happen. Alexander was confused as this did not happen in any previous worlds that he had conquered so Alexander peered into the past and saw that it was the world's laws which were trying to warn people in order to resist Alexander's invasion. The world laws had lost much of their strength but were still capable of warning the inhabitants of the world. Alexander thought, " I have to be more careful in the higher ranked worlds. I don't know what can happen during the conquest of any world."

Alexander, after 2 months, had already conquered the whole non magical counterpart of South American Continent, Canada, Greenland, Australia, parts of USA, Greenland, European countries, parts of Britain. His scientists had developed a way to inflitrate the goblin strongholds after 8 months. They had created a device which cancelled the magic in a particular area and allowed the user to walk through the wards. The downside was that the magic would not be nullified for long and the device can be used only once. It also restricts the magic of the user also.

Alexander was perplexed on who to send on this potentially suicide mission but the elves already volunteered for the operation. According to them, it was their responsibility to free their race from the clutches of the evil goblins. Alexander after some thinking allowed the elves to do do. The elf which entered returned after 6 hours. These hours were very tense for all the people of the kingdom who were in the know. The elf reported that there was no elf in the stronghold. Alexander had all the strongholds checked but didn't find any elves there. The goblins in the strongholds were different than the goblins of the bank. The goblins living in the strongholds were bonafide warriors and never had anyone else do their work. Even the commander of the stronghold cooked and cleaned himself. The elf who first entered was nearly caught by the warrior goblins due to their fighting instincts. The capital had the remaining elves in service. There were a total 8 million elves were tasked with maintain the city. The noble clans of the goblins were responsible for a section of the city and each clan had it's own elves. Alexander had the elves map every inch of the capital city and the strongholds.Alexander realised that the capital city was the goblins' last stand point as the number of wards and guards were highest in the city but Alexander was not going to take any chances. It took one month to complete all the preparations for the invasion but the day of invasion has now come.
