I don't know about the nature or business problems stated here but I have one answer for the problem with city water and that is to: move the lowest class of people closer to the river and the higher outside of the city, as the lord of the territory Sophie can set the prices such as that with salary of this low amount you can buy this land but with salary this hight you can't buy this land another issue can become higher class people won't like this, but they have money and can buy water from other at the water source for cheape or have pipes to they homes. Tell me what you think and we can work out some good answer for this.
Water Synthesizers? Why not just have wastewater recyclers and purifiers? Regardless, I'm interested in what she chooses. My answer would be to forget short term profits, and see if there isn't a way for merging ecological and urban environments to make the water apart of the same ecosystem. Still the simplest answer is to improve city water recycling infrastructure rather than relying on synthesizers.
well there are always the 3 choices of people, prodit and environement... i would probably see if the river could be split between people and environement... profit is not as Important as health and if you destroy the environement it could cause a lot of problems. but maybe the extra money could help improve the situation of the whole planet and it might be an idea to stop the growth aswell. thx for such a philosophical chapter^^
my opinion is she has to consider people's drinking water rather than industrial area because even you develop your territory as industrial hub it won't stop other territories laugh at you because what's the use even if you industrial developed you can't provide minimum drinking water for your people 😅
An answer I have for this issue is to have the lower class citizens have greater access to clean water by working for it either in the industrial sector which could increase profits leading to more synthesisers or in the nature reserves. These workers could move to live near the river which would in the short term solve the issue for the population without the issues of diverting the river from the wildlife. A more long-term solution would likely be setting up a separate reservoir or a brach in the river dedicated towards the city state. It is also possible that the river can be divided in such a way for both sides ro benefit and measures can be taken to support the wildlife reserves until they adapt to the new circumstances
