6 Faerie Kingdom

It had been almost a week since Minerva came to this world, and she has answered many of her previous questions.

'Who am I? I am Minerva Winterlace'

'What am I? I am a Royal Faerie, revered amongst the Faerie Race'

'What do I do?' was a question she couldn't quite answer yet however. This is because there are many things she can do. The thing she has being doing the most is visiting the Royal Library and spending time with her parents, Gardenia and Quinn.

The Royal Library is a heavenly place for Minerva as there are shelves of books that span across multiple floors, and these books can help answer the questions she had been holding in all the time she experienced the darkness. She really hates the darkness, it was a time of when she was alone and in a state of nothingness and only questions that are left unanswered. As much as the Royal Library can answer questions, but it isn't her favourite thing at the moment although she loves it.

Her parents, the Queen Gardenia and the King Quinn are the two most greatest things she knows. They show her new things that cannot be found in books like the use of mana she had read so much about, and explained the [System] that all beings are granted. The application of the knowledge is much more interesting than reading books all day long, but what she finds the best is doing this with her parents. It was full of warmth and love, it felt like her only place in the world, her special place and no one else's.

The Faerie Kingdom is rather different from the Human Kingdoms where politics and different factions may try to fight for rule. Instead it is very harmonious and the Royal Family of the Faeries has all the rights to rule as they are better in every way when compared to the ordinary Faeries. They are much more intelligent, they are stronger and they are much faster in comparison. What confused Minerva at first was how did her Father become a Royal Faerie, she even thought that incestuous relationships were practiced, which she didn't think sounded very wrong but it is mostly frowned upon in most races customs. However during marriage the person who marries into the Royal Family would be blessed by the God of the Faeries, allowing them to hold Royal Blood and have the desirable 3 sets of butterfly wings.

The population of the Faerie Kingdom is not that much, only around 60,000 as in order to create new Faeries it is quite costly. However Faeries would be considered an immortal being, they cannot die of natural causes. They live forever unless they die from a type of mana disease, which is the only types of diseases that can harm them due to their body composition, or if they die from unnatural causes like murder or drowning. Murder is the most likely cause of death as Faeries are not so stupid that they would go drown themselves as they are actually considered to be one of the most intelligent races in the World of Niva.

They do have one flaw though and that is their very nature of curiosity. They are curious beings and will be nosy to almost everything that intrigues them, and this is a reasonable cause of death as they could be curious and get caught in a trap. In fact the 3rd King of the Faerie Kingdom, Blathnat Winterlace, died due to his curiosity of a certain fruit which was later renamed to a Mana Destabilizer Fruit, or the Blathnat Fruit as it killed him when he ate it which then broke his mana. Faeries being part mana would obviously die from such a fruit. One thing he said before he died was that it actually tasted quite nice, somewhere between an Orange and an Apple. Once again out of curiosity, some other Faeries tried the fruit and met the same end, quite unfortunate really.

Coming out of the library, Minerva felt much smarter than before as books help increase the INT attribute. It is a rather limited but safe way to level up and earn INT attribute points. Looking out of the window and into the Royal Capital in the distance, she felt giddy as her parents said she could go explore it when she becomes a Midling Faerie. She is currently a Young Faerie and will grow up very shortly. Wanting to see how long she has left for her growth, she called up her status.

Excited by the prospect of becoming a Midling Faerie, she swiped away her status window. Another thing she will be allowed to practice is mana control after visiting the Royal Capital, in the Royal Capital she will go with her parents to the Explorer's Guild. Faeries are much less conservative and there isn't much of a difference in wealth, the Noble Faeries do have more money but the Ordinary Faeries still have money that is comparable to above average if compared to humans. They live a good life and mostly keep to their own Kingdom. Therefore the Queen and King visiting certain stores in the capital isn't all that strange, it isn't a common occurrence but it certainly isn't a rare thing, a thing that they have to go beneath their status to do.

In the Explorer's Guild she will get her talent tested and register as an Explorer. Being an Explorer is equivalent to an Universal ID and is thus required by any races who live in a Kingdom. Faeries are all naturally gifted in nature magic and their talent is registered based on the amount of wing sets they have. One set of wings would be equivalent to control over only nature magic, two sets would be nature magic + 1 element etc.

The one difference is that Faeries with four sets of butterfly wings do not necessarily have four elements they can use. They would have 3 elements with one being nature, and the benefit of four sets of wings is rather unknown. It allows for better talent and possibilities in Evolution, and possessors have a faster flying speed.
