so now that he is about to complete all the syllabus of school, he is going to learn about other magic systems. cool. but i wonder how far it will go. hope it stays focused on the western magic.

if your gonna have him start some kinda magic cultivation stuff you could use my cultivation thought of shaping the magic going through the "channel's" into boring drills to clean them up so they can go slow and steady and he can use the clean areas as places to reinforce his channel's and do it until all of them are cleaned and supper reinforced so even crippling moves just splash right off

If he could purge some communist vermin (lol, auto correct: 'vermin' -> 'Vernon') while he's at it, that would be nice.
