Dwarves leader Ashbringer

In the morning, Xander, Dye, and Reignald trained and sparred for a few hours, the training was almost the same as yesterday but just of slightly higher intensity. After training Xander and Dye went to eat breakfast.

"Dye, today dwarfs will come. We will talk with them in the evening before training. You will come with me in the afternoon to check the mountain and in the evening meeting. There are some matters to discuss related to recruitment, so we will talk after training."

"Anyway, I am free today. Let's go."

Xander, Dye, Aldith and few selected soldiers traveled on horses to inspect the mountain. In around half an hour, they reached their destinations. There were many short mountains around, there were many rocks on the ground. There was a river was flowing in these mountains. Xander unsheathed the sword and slightly scratched the rocky ground, it was soft and left an impression of a sword.

"Good, this is limestone, with this we can make cement."

He turned towards Aldith "Aldith, assign workers permanently to extract this limestone. I will give you the complete recipe to form cement and brick upon reaching in the palace." He started to contemplate for some time then he spoke "Let's do this, Make a small village in these mountains on the riverside, it will be easy to extract limestone and make few factories to make cement here. There are iron mines also. The transportation of cement is much more easier than limestone. This village will be made only for making production materials. Let's name it Riverside Village as it will be made on the riverside."

"I understand, your highness."

"Let's return, it was a successful trip."

In the palace, Administration office,

Xander was sitting on his chair in his office, drinking tea. Suddenly the door was opened and a middle-aged man came into the office, It was Aldith.

"Your highness, first batch of paper and ink is here"

"Give me let's see." Aldith gave one bottle of ink, pen and paper.

Pen used in this world is Quill pens which are generally used in medieval times on earth.

Xander inspects the paper "hmm, the paper is of decent quality, its quality will improve as workers will be experienced in the future. Still it is 100 times better than writing on hides."

Then Xander picked up a Quill pen and opened Ink bottle and dipped in it. He wrote some words to check the quality. "Good, this is good we can use this to trade." he then checked for few more times the thickness and durability of paper. "Aldith send a notice to the kingdom of Ocawyth that I go tomorrow there for some matters."

"OK, your highness I will send the notice. Your highness those dwarfs reached some time ago, when will you meet with them?"

"Hmm, there is no important matter for now let's go and meet them and also send Dye in the meeting room."

After that Aldith left the room. After some time, Xander got up from the chair and went towards the meeting room. Upon entering the meeting room, he looked around there was a big rectangular table in the center of the room. Few chairs were placed around the table. A slightly muscular man with a long and dense beard of small height around 4.5 ft was standing in front of one chair. Aldith came towards Xander and said after pointing towards that man" Your highness, he is Dwarves leader Ashbringer". Upon hearing Aldith he nodded.

Ashbringer greeted Xander. Xander took out his hand and placed it in front of Ashbringer to shake hands. Upon seeing this, Ashbringer was stunned for some time. In this world Royals and nobles are slightly arrogant, they don't like being touched or to speak with commoners. Everyone in this world knows this. After some seconds which feels like some minutes to Ashbringer came out of the daze and after cleaning his hand he shacked hands with Xander. Xander went to sit on his chair. then he signaled everyone to sit "Please take seat everyone."

Xander looked around, there were 4 more dwarves apart from their leader and one middle-aged human. He was an ambassador sent to the dwarves. Dye took a seat one which was on the right side of Xander and Aldith took on the left.

Xander turned towards their leader."Aldith told me about your situation with demonic beasts." Upon hearing Xander Dwarves became slightly twitched. Their expressions showed slight sadness, anger and regret. Xander started to ponder in his mind "Looks like the situation is worse than I expected." He further spoke to Dwarves, "We also have some difficulty with demonic beasts, to overcome this difficulty I will recruit soldiers in huge amounts, So there will no problem with soldiers. The only problem is we don't have many skilled blacksmiths or any production masters. Aldith told me about your race's skill and difficulty."

Everyone was silently listening without any movement or sound. Xander took a slight pause for them to think about which he said. Then further spoke "You have great skill and weapons but few soldiers. So like ambassador told you, I will again repeat it, I want you to work under me, I will provide your race land and place to work and protect you. I will make a few schools and colleges, your children can go and attend them. I know that there is slight discrimination against Dwarfs but I promise there will be no discrimination in my country. I have a few empty posts, if anyone is skilled in the paperwork they can apply for that post too. You can join the military too."

Upon hearing Xander Dwarves' eyes slightly lit up, their expressions lightened up. They started to whisper and discuss with other dwarfs. After some discussions Ashbringer Dwarfs leader asked "What will be our main work?"

Xander looked towards Ashbringer "Do you have some people who are experts in construction?" To Xander's question, Ashbringer nodded.

"Then blacksmiths works will be mainly to make weapons, shields, and armors. As for Construction I plan to build some buildings and mainly I plan to build a wall around the kingdom." Upon hearing the plan of Xander of building a wall around the kingdom. All which were listening to this for the first time stunned for some time. Ashbringer hesitating told Xander " Your highness, It is very difficult, time taking and very expensive to make a wall around the kingdom. There is a lot of work like dressing stones and transportation of them which is very expensive and we may have not enough workers to complete the work and it will take years and there is a danger also if we work for so much time on the border as Demonic beasts can attack anytime."

Xander was satisfied after the whole explanation of Ashbringer as he thought that he listened to his every word very intently and also thought about it. "I am happy that you thought about all the problems, I will make a binding material called cement to bind the materials. I will also make building material called brick which will be used instead of stone and it is very easy and fast to build with these materials. As for danger I plan to recruit 100,000 soldiers to defend and attack the kingdom and in the future, I will increase the amount."

Upon hearing the amount of soldiers recruitment All dwarves stunned. In this world, this amount is not great for other kingdoms as they had a large population but for a kingdom that has a population slightly more than 1 million, it is a very huge amount. Ashbringer hesitatingly asked Xander "Is it true Your highness, that you will make such materials. And you will recruit so many soldiers." Xander nodded.

"Can our people, I mean Dwarfs can really join Army?"

Xander picked up the cup from the table and said while taking a sip of tea "It's completely true, Why not Dwarfs can join Army if they have the aptitude and if there is someone talented enough in both military prowess and tactics, I will also make him a high-rank officer."

All the dwarfs' eyes lit up there expression turned into a happy one. After discuss between Dwarfs Ashbringer turned towards Xander asked with slight doubt in his voice "Your highness, we will work under you but we are only afraid about discrimination."

"I Xander never go back on my word, In my name I promise you that I will make sure there will be no discrimination in my country. My wish is to make this country where all races can live, enjoy and work with no discrimination. And I will make it."

Upon hearing Ashbringer agreed "Then Your Highness, with your permission we will migrate here as soon as possible."

"OK, Aldith make some temporary houses in an open area near our palace."

Aldith nodded. After discussing a few minor matters everyone was dismissed. Dye and Xander went to train. During training, Xander again levelled up one time and his level reached 9. with his skills he can fight with Rank H Demonic beast alone. Dye too levelled up one time and became level 8 just one level below Xander.
