1 Chapter 0 Prologue
Dark
There was darkness all around me. No matter how far I looked there was nothing but darkness.
Then I began to think.
Where am I? What is this place? Last I remember I was .... I don't remember anything...
Who am I? I could piece together that I was a student. I remember having a family, friends and hobbies but not who or what they were. I remember how I look like. 21 years old, lean athletic build, black hair, green eyes and about 186 cm. Though not handsome I was at least easy on the eyes. I was extremely pale. So pale that I could be mistaken for a vampire.
For some reason I remembered all the movies and novels I ever saw.
It was weird and was driving me crazy.
(A/N : The MC has no knowledge of Mangas or Japanese culture in general or even comic books, he only knows of movies and a few novels so only occasionally will he have any meta knowledge about the plot)
It was then I saw something akin to a screen in front of me. For some odd reason I could understand what was written on it even though it wasn't in any language I knew of.

Even though it was vague and extremely dubious the darkness was driving me crazy. After thinking about it I chose 'Y' .

[Congratulations! You are now a Journeyman. You would be traveling to different realms carrying out missions that can help you grow into something more. Each world you travel to will have one mission for you to complete. The reward for completing the mission can either be an ability acquired in that world ( Derivatives like spells for magic manipulation ability don't count, so if you choose to take light magic ability for example the related spells would naturally come with it also martial arts do not count as abilities but skills, the skills will remain with you throughout your journey once you learn them) or a slot for a person of the realm you are visiting to become your companion in your journey (you can also keep the slot for later use in a different world but then you cannot take the ability you acquired from that particular world).]
[To star your journey you are given 3 boons that will accompany you throughout your travels. The boons given are purely based on luck. Would you like to see them? Y/N]
It took me some time to get over my shock. Apparently I am being isekied not to mention the fact that I have given permission to be part of an experiment whose goal I do not know. It's not like I want to go with the flow but... I DON'T HAVE A CHOICE. Angry as I may be about my situation, I know this is the only way to escape the darkness before I am driven to insanity. Firming my resolve I chose 'Y' .

1. Status Screen - This is a command that brings up a window that shows you numerical data about yourself(name, job, Health Points (HP), Mana Points (MP), attributes, skills, abilities).
2. Invictus : Your will is absolute, boundless, and unbreakable. Factors such as distress, suffering, and difficulty mean nothing to you. You are capable of undergoing any disaster without batting an eye, ignoring any amount of pain, remaining mentally untouched by even the most tragic events, and even the most fearsome odds will not give you pause. Abilities that would effect your mind or control you are useless, you shrugging these off as nothing more than irritants. You never break, never bow, and even come a thousand apocalypses you will stand as tall and resolute as ever. Being torn in half, locked into a timeloop of endless agony for thousands of years, or facing the most hopeless of odds are nothing to you.
3. All Fiction : Allows you to erase the existence of things; this includes things with or without form, injuries, your own "aura" and other abilities.
To bring back something from nothingness you have to actively and willingly concentrate on the thing you are trying to bring back.

(A/N: I tweaked All Fiction a bit by adding the power to bring things back from nothingness for the story. Please do note that though powerful it will not make him OP. Strong from the start sure but not OP because in the worlds that he will visit, people will have counter measures to deal with him.)
I was instantly hit with enormous pain. Using all my wits to bear the honestly excruciating pain I somehow manage pull through. As I regained my bearings, my mind was flooded with information about my boons as well as how to use them.
The first ability was quite helpful as it made me understand my strengths so I could plan accordingly. My second ability made me a bit nervous, I didn't want to become an emotionless robot. After understanding it thoroughly it seems it made me more like Batman on steroids, I guess I could live with that. And finally my third ability, frankly that just seems like some OP bullshit. But I know there must beings out there that can find a way around it if such an ability can be given to others so freely.
It seems that I would at least have the power to protect myself wherever I end up.
To give it a test run I mentally said 'Status'.
A simple holographic screen appears in front of me.

Since it is the beginning of my new life and this journey then my new name will be Inizio.
Again checking my status, and sure enough it was changed into my new name.

Now what is this job thing? Concentrating on the job tab I get an explanation.
[Job: It signifies the type of build you have for your abilities.( Like if someone who has Monk as a job will have a build with high strength and vitality attributes).]
[Journeyman: This job signifies your being able to travel through the worlds. It also gives you limitless growth. As long as you overcome your limits you can increase your attributes without any problems.]
I can grow stronger but only by overcoming my limits. I just know there is a catch to that but I can only wait to find out what it is.
As I was lost in thought another screen showed up.
[Attention! The first world transfer is starting. After the transfer is complete you would be given your first world mission. Please do your best to complete your mission. Do note that only after completing the mission can you move on to the next world.]

Well even though it was practically being forced upon me I was kinda looking forward to escaping the darkness and being this "Journeyman". Let's hope during this experiment or whatever this is, I can dig out some more answers.
