I waited, and waited, to get a reply from her while she continued to examine the content of the crumpled paper. It was taking every ounce of my patience to not snap at her right then and there.

"What about this note?" She finally looked up at me and threw me a quizzical look as if the piece of paper had nothing to do with her even in the slightest bit. 

I was disappointed by her reply, and my disappointment was more likely to be associated with me. Exactly how blind I was to ignore what her true self was. Even after all this time, I failed to see what she truly was. 

"What do you mean by that?" I spoke up as I glared down at her figure. "What I am curious about is since when did you start sending threatening notes to others? Based on how at ease you are even after knowing that you've been caught by me, I'm pretty sure it wasn't your first time."
