10. Gea's Call

"Hi, mom, really sorry about last night, I forgot my phone and when I came back it's already late".

" It's ok dear, I am a bit worried, that's why I asked David to call you"

"Yeah, we talked last night. I'm glad that his there and you could spend time with him... Mom, I gotta go..." DJ shows her face on the door and points at her wristwatch whispering it's time, make Gea close the phone with her hand and mouthed give me five minutes more.

"Take care, don't forget to have three meals a day and make sure you have some rest"

"I will.... mom before I forgot, I don't think I'll be able to be there on weekends or this whole month... but I will call you whenever I can... love you".

" Love you" Andrea maintain her voice to keep sounds lovely and left herself felt to the chair after the call.

Looking at his mother, David can help but concern.

"What's wrong?"

"hmmm, nothing"

"You sure? your face shows there is something"

"Gea said she can't be here for the weekend apparently not only for this weekend but also for the whole weekend, and she did not say when she can be here" Andrea sigh deeply.

"But she'll be here one day, her house just across yours"

"Yeah, I know it is just I'm glad that finally, you two could meet, but now... I do not know when you'll be able to meet, especially I need to be sick first before you come and visit me"

David finally could see what the trouble Gea bring for not being able to come back for this weekend.

"Mom... please don't say so, I'll be visiting whenever I can, but right now I really busy, we've talked about it, I'll try but I can't promise anything, and now seems to be not the right time, if we are supposed to meet then we'll meet. Don't make or try to force something that hurt or disappointed you at the end."

David is really busy his company just sign several agreements, they also in the middle of recruiting new artists, there's a lot to do, he also rescheduled his agenda to have a week with his mom. Andrea is ok now... David needs to be back and focused on his company.

Apart from all that is not only his mother that hurts and disappointed he also feels the same for having her feel that way, however, the woman that interested in him either because he's an actor, money, status or his connection. He has been tried to engage with women who like him not based on that, still, he can't, he's not looking for love... he just needs to feel the connection.

"Anybody home?" Deena's voice heard as soon as the door open while David and Andrea just finished their breakfast

"Grandma.... grandma" three teenagers run to hug Andrea.

"How, about me?" David ask

"Uncle!" they look surprised and turn around to hug David

"Wow... you guys grew up a lot since last time we meet"

"And when is it?" Deena asked her brother with a smirk on her face

"Sister...you look much younger than me, how come?" David walks to Deena and hugs her.

"Mom, David " Harry, Deena Husband came and greets them.

"Harry, what kinds of treatment you gave to my sister? she looks stunning and more beautiful"

"Deena doesn't require any treatment to look stunning or gorgeous, she always likes that every time I saw her" Harry look at Deena with love

"Thank you, Dear, I am gorgeous because I have Harry as my husband, if not I will look much older with having you as a brother, " Deena stare at David

"You supposed to look older than me because you are older than me, so it's normal" David smile while letting his tongue out to Deena and hid it fast from Andrea and Harry.

"Mom, our boys have a family outing, but Jane did not want to go and asked to stay with you if possible?" Deena look at her mom and look at Janet as well

"Please... Grandma, I promise I 'll behave" Janet look at his Grandma with pleaded eyes the cutest one she could shape

"Jane, I told you it's up to Grandma, you can't force her," Harry said to Jane remain her of their agreement.

Andrea looked at her granddaughter with love, in a glimpse, her face looks really mischievous before looking at Deena and David.

"Sure, I'll love it to have a companion while David will be busy, as long as your ok to accompany me in your uncle place than it will be really a pleasure for me to spend grandma-granddaughter time" Andrea speak very happy

"However, you need to ask your uncle if he's ok with it" Andrea look at David.

David who listens to what his mom just said was dumbfounded "Mom... mom what you mean at my place, you're saying that you'll come with me to S city?"

"Yes, I have Jane with me, I am a grown-up and she turns 16 years old soon, therefore, you do not have to worry about us, we could manage ourselves, you just need to provide shelter, food, driver and especially leave your card with us!" Andrea smirked at Jane and lookback at David "but... sure if you have a problem then said"

David doesn't have any problems with all the things Andrea required, it's just he could smell something out of it, He'll be really busy in S city due to the workload he left and he's uncomfortable to leave her mom and niece alone.

"Please... please uncle" Jane gave her begging eyes look right at David which standing still and can't say anything.

David looks to her sister asking for help. Deena raises her shoulder and opens both her arm signaled 'I can't do anything.'

David sighs heavily before saying "Fine we're leaving tomorrow at noon"
