7. Can't You at least try?

"Mom, what you're thinking?! if Deena hasn't called me I will never know what happened to you" Andrea knows this is going to happen as soon as David heard the news of her collapsed.

"I need a hug, not a holler from my own son" Andrea spread her arms to hug David.

" You scared me to death," David told her his worried while hugging her and rest his chin on her shoulder. He can smell her aroma that comforts him since he was born. "I know, but I am ok, nothing happened to me". Confirmed by Andrea answer David sighed of relief looking at her

" So, how long you plan to hang around this time" Andrea asking knows that David already rescheduled his work and freed at least three days to be with her. He loves and respects her a lot. she'll always be his number one, it's the same reason that she didn't want to call him or Deena at that time, definitely, Deena will call her brother and David will stop everything and visit her.

"I'll be staying till Sunday noon". Andrea's heart full of joy hearing David answers and revealed in her face. " Are you that happy?" David smiles bright understanding he is the reason for her happiness.

"You must be exhausted, let's sleep, we'll catch up in the morning" Andrea push him to his room, David room always ready no matter how sudden he came. Andrea, always makes sure his room ready for him at any time. David doze as soon as he lay in the bed after bathed.

He received Deena call in a short break of his interview, talk to his management, clearing his schedule for a whole week, proceed with the interview then get a cab, knowing her mother will stay till 10 PM he didn't contact her. He arrived when Andrea bouts to enter the house from her walk around the block.

David awake by the doorbell, check his phone it's 8.00 am. David had a quick shower covered his perfectly shaped body 1,84m and 74kg with knee-length jeans and white shirt, besides his mother's eyes all of his facial resemblance his father ... he searches around and found his mother in the kitchen waiting for him to have breakfast.

"Mom, I'll prepare food! or we could dine out till the maid's comeback, you don't have to cook....when will the maid come in actually?" Andrea looked at him, hold his face with both of her palms making V-shaped "I do not cook, the maiden will come back around this time I believe".

Pleasant to know that the maiden will arrive today, David stared at the food on the table; omelet, pancakes, corn soup, egg roll, and fried rice.

Shake his head David look right in her mother's deep eyes "And which fairy that sent foods on our table for breakfast?" he teased his mother in a bit irritated voice as he didn't believe her, looking at all the food in front of them.

"a beautiful young fairy" Andrea replied with a giggled. Held a deep breath David asked again "where the beautiful young fairy lives in so I can thank her for the food that performed in our table".

Andrea laughed "Just say thank you for the food and Let's eat".

When Andrea about to clean up the dishes, the doorbell ringing. "I'll do the dishes, mom" David talk to Andrea and the look in his eyes suggested she open the door.

David heard a woman voice talked to her mother heading to the kitchen "Mrs. Adam this is my son David, he'll be accompanied me till Sunday" Andrea introduced David to the woman.

"By the way, our maids will be here soon, therefore no need to bring food anymore, " hearing what Andrea said Mrs. Adam a little bit alarmed "but Ms. Gea already make me promise to check you on daily basis and prepare for your meals every day, she even raises both my husband and my fee."

hold Mrs. Adam hands Andrea calmly said: "you still can check me every day and I'll ask you to cook sometimes, we also can hang out together, I really enjoyed your companion, don't you worry I'm sure Ms. Gea will understand." Andrea calmed Mrs. Adam and promised her that she'll talk to Gea.

Calmed herself, Mrs. Adam took dishes that in David hands whose standings still during their talk. "at least let me do the chores before your maids arrived, go walked, enjoyed your time with your son, I'd be here till you come back."

" Okay, we are leaving, trusted the house with you" Andrea grab David's hand and walked out with him. David who's taken aback and speechless, surprise been pull by Andrea.

"Who is this 'Gea' mom?" David confronted Andrea when they are walking

"A beautiful young fairy, she has a house across our house, she lives and works in S city and coming here during the weekend or whenever she is free". Andrea tells David how she meets Gea and how this nice young lady helps her.

" You'll be able to meet her this weekend" Andrea love the idea set up them together, she was hoping David will start to have a family of his own, people always thought that David is 30 years old because his appearances show that he is but actually he is 35 years old, and for Andrea that age is not young anymore.

David seems to understand where this gonna land. "Mom, don't start imaging things that will hurt you at the end". His face looks a bit gloomy knowing what his mother thinking, he knows his not young anymore, and it doesn't mean that he does not want to marry, however, he does not want to marry just to anyone.

David know marriage request a lot of effort from both people who promise to be together, marriage wasn't the end, it's a start, the road after the marriage was not an easy path to walk, it requires hand in hand not someone who leads the way and others to follow, it requires not only love. Love perhaps could be the first brick for the foundation but it could be also the flower that blooms after the marriage, love could fade away or even lost during the journey.

The silence and wind became accompany song during their walk till, near the gate of their house, Andrea breaks the silence and look at her son" Could you at least try?".

Seeing Andrea's face, David could only sigh "I'll promise, I'll try but I can't promise for the results".
