Due to being pretty close to night time, most people are already in the city so the line into Athelney is fairly short. After about half an hour, we finally make it to the gate.
"Identification," the guard said in a monotonous tone, probably bored from such a repetitive job.
"Here you go," I say as I hand over my guild registration card, to which he lightly raises his eyebrow, but gives away no other response. Right after he checks Xantos's and and Aurelia's guild cards, before letting us go in.
"I guess we should go to the guild to hand in our most recent subjugation proofs?" I say to Xantos as were walking through the still busy crowds of the city. One of the nice things about subjugations quests in my mind was being able to keep the materials, since it wasn't a material quest where they needed something from it but a creature causing problems. All we had to do was show that it was dead and we get the reward.
"Sounds as good a plan as any, I know a good inn from a little off of the main road, its quiet, secluded, and you really get your moneys worth, though I always wondered why we only chose it when mom came with us to the capital," he said in a relaxed tone to me.
"Come on guys, lets get a move on already, times a wastin'" Aurelia urged in an exasperated tone to us.
"Calm down Aurelia, we'll get there eventually, we have plenty of time," I said to her calmly in response.
Not long after we arrived at the guild and were able to show the subjugation proofs to the guild, after receiving the reward we went over to The Sleeping Roc Inn that Xantos mentioned earlier.
When we got to the inn Xantos got two rooms for us, and paid the steward for a week of boarding, food and water. As we were about to walk away the steward whispered something into his ear, something about soundproof, which caused his face to flush red. As we walked up to the room I swear I heard him mutter something about why his parents chose this place. Choosing to overlook what ever was happening in his head, with my intuition telling me I didn't want to know.
Putting that feeling to the side, I insert my key into my room door. Entering inside I see that next to the bed is a simple chest where you could put your belongings, 'Won't be needing that.' I think to myself, then I notice that the bed looks really comfortable. I jump onto the bed, and while mid air my clothes change into a light blue bra and underwear. I sigh as I pull up my stat sheet, due to the cap that happened I can't level up until I hit certain requirements. Thankfully any experience I get is just put aside and applied all at once at the point when they are all fulfilled.

Thankfully with my new skill I was able to reach the skill requirement. No my main affinities have to reach intermediate and others at beginner. Though the cap is frustrating I better understand why there are so few people who can make it up to A rank let alone past it. From what I can tell most people don't have great control of their element. Most have basic and some have beginner but only A ranks and up have intermediate.
'I guess it's time to really practice my control over my elements,' I think to myself because of the cap. Along that line of thought I externalize my elements and do a bunch of random and intricate things with them until I fall asleep in the bed.
