Would you like to see proof?

Yu Chen frowned, but did not try to pull away. Instead she said, "Sam? Are you really sure? I might end up hurting you real bad."

Sam smiled, his face just inches away from Chen's and his breath caressing her face, "I don't mind if it's you."

Sam suddenly stopped short in his narrative and blinked. He focused his gaze on Si Xia, whose lips were pursued and eyebrows pulled together.

Sam said, "Maybe this was a mistake. I never should have told you this. Forget it. I'm sure you and Chen can sort out your own differences." He got up but Xia's magnetic voice rung out, cold enough to freeze any weak hearted person and sent chills down Sam's back, "Sit down."

Sam sat back down and mumbled, "I knew I shouldn't have said anything. I've made a crack in your relationship."

Xia said through gritted teeth, "That is not that easy. Go on."

Sam sighed and said, "Well, we kissed. And Chen agreed to give us a chance. Then we dated for a few months. But..." Sam but his lips.

Si Xia narrowed his eyes.

Samuel: "She felt too guilty dating me. So we agreed to break up. And that's it. That's the whole matter. Now I see it was wrong for me to come here."

Si Xia gave Sam a mocking smile and stood up, saying, "You seem to have wasted your as well as my time. Good day."

Sam gritted his teeth and placed a hand to stop Xia from leaving.

"I can see you don't trust me. That kind of hurts my ego. Will you like to see proof?" He spat out.

Si Xia stopped dead in his tracks. "Proof?" He said in a low voice and a tone that indicated that if Sam dared to say yes, he would not be saying anything else ever.

But Samuel only chuckled. He had expected this of someone with Xia's temper. He removed his hand, "Just trying to prove I'm telling the truth. It's okay if you don't want to see it."

Si Xia frowned, one hand on the back of the chair, hesitating, "See?"

Sam pulled out something that looked like a photograph from his pocket and slid it towards Si Xia. Xia caught it with ease and turned it around.

His brows pulled together upon seeing the photo. It was a pic of two people sitting on a rooftop side by side and looking up at the sky. Though the light was not very good, the two persons were easily recognisable, the camera must have been especially made for clicking pictures in the dark.

On the right side, towards the camera, sat Yu Chen, wearing a full sleeved t-shirt and jeans. She had her arms around her ankles and her hair fell almost to her shoulders, with one butterfly shaped clip visible from the side.

Beside her, visible behind Chen, sat Samuel. He was also looking up at the moon and his mouth was open, as though he was talking.

He was wearing a black shirt and his blonde hair were messy.

Xia stared at the photograph and then looked up with an arrogant expression, "Could I ask why do you have this photo, Mr. Darcy?"

Sam put his hands behind his head in a leisurely motion and said, "Got your attention now, haven't I? I'll tell you if you sit down."
