Hua Ming needed money, normally, if she was in real life she would be pretty panicked because of the complicated procedures, universities, interview, past jobs, etc.
But here, in ancient china, or what the novel setting's were based off of, you didn't need education, decent background, or legal permission to start some kind of business.
So, she might as well become a business woman while she was here. in her past life Hua Ming was a banker, and a part time online author. being a banker sucked, there were always customers who were a total pain in her ass, and even worse, some of these customers were regulars.
The sun grazed her head with it's bright rays of gold, that could definitely blind someone, she was woken from her thoughts. Hua Ming had a idea, and without knowing it, she smiled in a very malicious way, and at the same time, it was directed towards Lili. Lili, who was standing right beside her, wasn't sure whether or not to be happy for her, or to pray for himself.
Hua Ming's sudden burst of speech caught Lili off guard, and he almost tripped someone,
"Lili, I need some money in order to survive, so I'll need your help" she spoke in a very serious voice, and it made the hair on Lili stand up.
The plan that his mistress has spoken of was to make him a clown. And after they've gained a good amount of money they're going to open some kind of bank. His mistress was practically laughing at her own idea of making Lili do these ridiculous things, and this made Lili worry about her mental state.

Before this plan was even put into action, another problem had risen, Hua Ming didn't know the currency of this world. She opted to ask Lili at first, but then realized that he would probably be oblivious to the question because he doesn't interact with humans, and he hasn't been out of that forest for quite a while.
"excuse me, sir" Hua Ming tapped a man's back, suddenly the man turned, and there, stood a hunched old man who had a wooden cane polished to that of gleaming. he didn't seem even the least surprised, "huh, what do you want you rascal" the man had a really raspy voice , and it seemed like he had wasn't quite fond of strangers that touched him, judging by the way Hua Ming was looked at by this old man.
"sir, do you know how money works here?" it was quite embarrassing that she didn't know as much as a 6 year old in this world, but what could she do? "are you a foreigner" the old geezer had some new image of her as a wandering foreigner that had really good Chinese. "YES, YES!" she said as she furiously nodded her head at the cringed old man in front of her.
"well, this country, we have gold, jade, silver, and bronze ingots.", the old man paused for a good second to contemplate over something, the he continued, "25 bronze ingots gives you 1 silver, and 100 silvers gets you 1 jade, 100 jade ingots gives you a gold ingot." Then the older one, cleared his throat and turned his back to the opposite direction of the Foreign Miss Tang.
*What a rude Boomer this old man is*, thought Hua Ming. Well, she got the info she wanted, so now, was the time to get some money.

And this led to Lili dancing on the side of the road like an idiot, but the good thing was they earned a good amount of silver and bronze, all because of the people who were scared that if they didn't give them money, his owner would came and order the big blue bear to murder them, and it was all because of the bear who was truly grumped about his job. But like his miss said, "money is money, and we aren't some kind of frugal female lead", but the last part didn't make sense to Lili.
