In a dark alley lies a bleeding woman with long black hair and brown eyes.

A deep wound in her stomach continuously spews out blood, it won't be long until she would die from blood loss.

'Well, that's how I die.' She thinks without too many emotions.

Samilia Kingsley, an orphan who lived her life in the grey zone of society for twenty years before being killed by some desperate people that robbed her.

As she laid there contemplating as to what is going to happen to her now while she lost more and more control of her body, something unexpected happened.

[Candidate for recruiting found.]

[Would you like to join the hunter department of the Multiverse regulation system? {Yes/No}]

Furrowing her brows at the blue screen with white text Samilia, or Sam, goes through what she knows about such situations.

'Am I hallucinating? Or is this something like the sh*t from those novels and mangas? Haaa, anyway, its not like I can deny my natura as a human and resist my curiosity.' A small smile had made its way on her exhausted face.

With the last of her strength before falling unconscious from blood loss Sam gives her answer and immediately blacks out afterwards.

An unknown amount of time later she awoke in an unfamiliar place.

The walls, floor and roof were all white and enclose her in a perfectly symmetrical cube.

Sitting up Sam rubs her head to get rid of the dizziness she's experiencing.

'The fu*k happened?' Looking around the empty space she soon focused herself on her body and found that she no longer looked like she did before getting stabbed.

A short inspection later she found out that she was now nothing more than a female silhouette of a human, completely white, well except for the eyes as she couldn't see them.

"What the hell is going on?" She mutters, which was immediate rewarded by a giant blue screen appearing on the nearest wall.

[Candidate {Samilia Kingsley} successfully recruited into the hunting department of the Multiverse regulation system.]

[Greetings {Samilia Kingsley}, as you have accepted to join the hunting department of the Multiverse regulation system (MRS), you have become a hunter whose job is to go out into the multiverse and hunt down chaotic entities that pose a problem or inconvenience their respective worlds. As a huntress you have been given your personal 'Lobby', a pocket dimension bound to your soul which will serve as the connection between you and the MRS.]

Sam calmly reads through all the text on the wall as she starts to get an understanding of what she brought upon herself.

[In your 'Lobby' you have access to the mission board which shows you all the accessible missions that you can take, be aware to take not of their difficulty before accepting any missions, once a mission is accepted you will be stuck with it until it is completed. The completion of missions will reward you with 'coins' which can be used in the 'shop' to buy equipment, abilities or upgrades from all over the multiverse.]

Two new screens appear on the other walls with one displaying an endless list of missions in all kinds of different worlds, be they fictional, alien or the same one Sam was born in, and the other a shop with everything one could imagine at display while a number floated at the top left.

[Missions consist out of the main target which must be eliminated to finish the mission and side objectives that can be accomplished in the world the mission takes place, the completion of side objective will increase the reward gained upon completion of the mission.]

'Hm, so only one mission at a time, there's also no way to quickly gain coins as the reward is only given at the end of the mission and the side objectives are added to the main reward.' Carefully analyzing the information, she was given Sam starts making some vague plans as to how to proceed.

[It is possible to quit your duties as a huntress by separating the 'Lobby' from your soul, but this will also bare you form accessing the benefits that come with being a part of the MRS (Shop, Lobby, Inventory). You will be stuck in the same world when you serve the connection and remain there for the rest of your life.]

'Oh? That's pretty generous, if one doesn't want to work for the MRS anymore one can choose a world where they want to spend the rest of their life in and then retire there.' Relived at how generous the MRS was to its members Sam releases a sigh.

[With the basic introduction completed please decide upon your new appearance after which you will be able to proceed with, taking a mission, use the shop or customize your lobby.]

After this last message the blue screen disappeared leaving Sam in the white cube with the two other screens and a new one, smaller but with instructions as to how she can design her appearance.

Moving right to it Sam spends the next hour customizing her appearance and when she finally closes the window, a twenty-year-old woman with lean physic, medium chest, long, wild dark purple hair, golden eyes and a beaty mark under her left eye sat in her place, wearing a white shirt and black pants.

Inspecting herself again Sam stood up and performs some stretches.

"Damn this body feels nice~. "She mutters with a happy smile on her beautiful face before turning her attention to the two screens on the walls of her lobby.

"I got 1'000 coins as a starting gift, not enough to buy anything of the stronger things in the shop but I think going for something that has a long-term benefit is a better option." Scrolling through the shop she soon chooses three abilities leaving her with 400 coins.

[You bought {Armament Haki} for 250 coins, {Observation Haki} for 250 coins and {Cold Blooded} for 100 coins.]

'These two Haki's are very useful powers, they cover attack, defense and sensing while also being usable without weapon or any kind of energy like mana, spiritual energy or KI. Meaning there should be no problem in using them in any world. As for {Coldblooded}, I'm well aware that I'm no killer or ruthless person so this is required if I don't want die because of some stupid mistake in a dangerous situation. It's a passive ability that luckily can be turned on and off and doesn't consume any energy, it allows me to distance my emotions from my decision making.' After making her first purchase in the shop Sam focused on the customization of her lobby which brought up another screen like the one that explained to her how to choose her appearance and she once again spends some time designing thinks to her liking.

While doing so she also figured out some more applications of the lobby.

It is possible to connect the lobby to other worlds through nod points like doors, meaning Sam won't have to worry about not having a roof over her head when she visits another world.

With that knowledge she turned the lobby into a cozy wooden house with everything one would need and a big hangar like garage with all kinds of crafting tools, she won't be able to take anything part of the lobby outside but as long as its stays inside its fine.

Finally, after a good day of work in which she figured out that she could summon food and water freely in here she finished making her safe little sanctuary and took a nap in her new home.

When she awoke and had a nice breakfast she went out into the garden that replaced the white floor and looked at the wall of trees that mark the edge of her lobby.

From looks it seems that her house is surrounded by forest with a bright blue sky above and full of fluffy white clouds, but that is purely optical.

"Time to take my first mission. I should take an easy one so that I can get familiar with my powers a bit." Looking through the available missions on the mission board which she refitted to be much smaller and float in front of her, Sam scrolls for a while before coming to a halt.

Wish: Leveling system

World: Highschool of the Dead

Description: Hiaso Hada, a reincarnator who got a wish from a higher entity and was reborn into the world of Highschool of the dead with a system that allows him to increase his physical stats by killing others. Because of the nature of his system which consumes the souls of those killed by its host he has to be eliminated or all the souls of that world will ultimately be consumed by him.

Reward: 1'000 coins

Entry point: Two days before plot begin near Fujimi Academy.

Side objective:

#1, Protect the mains cast (7/7) and stop Hiaso from consuming any of their souls.

Reward: +200 coins for every surviving member.

#2, Kill Hiaso before he reaches Level 20. (0/20)

Reward: 400 coins.]

'I think this is a good choice. The world itself isn't too dangerous especially with Haki and the main target will only grow in physical aspects, also the side objectives ware also rather easy.' Before accepting the mission Sam once again enters the shop and buy's some things to prepare for the mission.

She bought a new set of clothes as she currently only had a shirt and pants, and another ability.

[You bought {Minor illusion} for 250 coins.]

It's quite pricy but useful in the long run as with this Sam wont have to worry about money as she could just put up an illusion around herself and throw whatever she fancied into her inventory before walking away.

The illusion isn't long sustainable or very convincing, but more than enough to fool some security cameras and a cashier.

With everything prepared Sam hits the 'accept' button on the screen and disappears in a flash of light from the lobby.
