Bioshock little sister (882 words)

A small lone figure walks through a tunnel connecting two tall buildings, it is made out of glass and metal, on the other side of the glass a big city with lots of lights and advertisements silently lies, despite its appearance the whole city was located at the bottom of the ocean.

The small figure stops in the middle of the tunnel and turns to look out onto the city, suddenly a giant squid of dark green color dashes by right on front of the little figure.

Many other aquatic lifeforms swim around between the towering buildings which make up the city underwater.

While the little figure was starring out into the depths of the ocean a way bigger creature made its way through the tunnel approaching her with heavy steps.

Soon the big creature arrived next to the little figure and reveals himself as a giant man in a bulky deep-sea diving suite with a drill attached to his right arm.

Yellow light shines through the lenses of his diving helmet as he looks down on the little figure.

The little figure is in fact a girl around the age of seven in a dark green dress that reaches down slightly over her knees, she wears no shoes but instead a big syringe like tool rests in her small hand, on the syringe a canister looking like a baby bottle filled with a red liquid is attached and the little girl is currently drinking some of the liquid.

Her dark brown hair is carefully made into a short ponytail bound together with a matching green ribbon making her look like a normal child if not for glowing yellowish green eyes and deathly pale skin.

A deep rumbling sound escapes the big creature in diving suite bringing the little girl out of her trance of starring into the ocean.

"No need to be so impatient daddy..." she mutters as she looks at the hulking creature in diving suit.

´Well this confirms my initiate suspicion, I'm in the videogame Bioshock. As a little sister at that. ´The little girl thinks when she turns back to look out of the glass and metal tunnel in the middle of the grand city of Rapture.

´I have no idea how I ended up here, one moment I'm studying at home and the next I find myself wandering the desolated and damaged halls of some unfamiliar building in the form of a little girl with a big ass syringe in hand. ´Frustrated at the strangeness of her current situation the little girl pouts and crosses her arms.

´At least I can still remember my identity as Veronica Blair and all my years of study, I would probably be a lot more aggravated if all the years of study were gone as it would mean I wasted all that time for nothing. ´While Veronica is ranting in her head the big creature in diving suit starts to wander again walking past her.

´The big daddies are already in use which means that I'm not at the very beginning of the timeline, but before I can be sure I will have to confirm it by scouting out the current state of Rapture. ´Releasing a deep sigh at the thought of all the things she will have to do in order to guarantee her survival and safety Veronica stops starring onto the ocean and follows the big daddy which has walked some distance away.

´If this is the same world as the videogame then there should be lots of recordings and remaining pieces of research, I will have to study hard again in order to get rid of all the negative side effects of being a little sister and having a damn sea slug in my stomach. For one I have to get rid of the mind conditioning that was placed on me so that I will have more freedom in my actions, second, stabilization of my mental health, I'm already largely different form before arriving here. ´Veronica continues to list things up she must do without realizing that her mind is running at three times her previous speed.

Following the hulking form of the big daddy through the glass tunnel she starts her exploration and research.

Year's pass and Veronica collects different research documents of people like Brigid Tenenbaum or Dr. Yi Suchong in order to understand as much about herself, a little sister as possible.

In her exploration she also found out in which part of the Bioshock timeline she currently was.

It was still around two years till the plot of the first game starts and Jack arrives at Rapture where he then proceeds to kill Andrew Ryan and Frank Fountain.

With two more years at hand Veronica starts diving deeper in her research of -----------

Tenenbaum in particular was a great help and source of information as she strongly regreted to have been part of the people who created the little sisters to begin with.

Dooming young children to be nothing more than Adam factories which then was sold to others for money.

As a co-creator of the little sisters Tenenbaum of course noticed Veronica´s strange behavior but with the help of acting, she was able to sell her questions as nothing more than a child's curiosity.
