1. Compare the genealogy account of Matthew with Luke's account. [Luke 3:23-27]
A. What difference did you notice? [name at least 3]
B. Why do you think it is important to include Jesus' genealogy into the Gospel account?
2. In Matthew's genealogy account of Jesus, who were the women mentioned directly or indirectly? Why do you think they are mentioned?

1. Without looking at the your Bible, what does the name Jesus mean? What about Immanuel?
2. Why do you think the angel gave Mary the name Jesus different from the one prophesied by Isaiah [Immanuel]?

B. because the 4 gospels tells about the story of Jesus.
2. It's Rahab and Ruth. Rahab is the mother of Boaz, and Boaz is the husband of Ruth.

1. Mary named her son Jesus because he would save all people from their sins. He is named Immanuel, because "God is with us".
2. Because he is the Messenger of God. He prophesied what would happened to the child and the nation of Israel.
3. The most important part of the story, the Angel Gabriel visited Joseph to tell him the Good News about the birth of Child Jesus.
4. The lesson I learned today, Jesus is the Son of God, coming from the lineage of King David, who is annointed by God to be the Israel's leader.
